I am a little bit cnfused whether the claims guys are looking into both cars which I had through Honda finance or just one as it does not specify this, I am hoping it is the two cars. I have given the same information multiple times and then it is requested again. I just hope this works so have no feedback about outcome for others starting this process

Dear Mark, We have been issuing updates to all clients with open Undisclosed Commission claims via email: Due to temporary rules put in place by the Financial Conduct Authority Lenders currently do not have to respond to any claims relating to Discretionary Commission Arrangements and Fixed Fee Commissions until after 04 December 2025. The Financial Conduct Authority is waiting on the outcome of a Supreme Court hearing, which took place on 01 to 03 April 2025, to allow it to complete its review and establish any next steps, which it has stated may include an industry-wide redress scheme. We anticipate that the Supreme Court will hand down its judgment in Summer 2025, so we do not expect a further update from the Financial Conduct Authority until Autumn 2025. Lenders are still required to log and progress all complaints and provide relevant updates during the pause period. Any claims we have submitted for you to your lenders remain valid. At this time, we continue working on your behalf and, as updates become available, we will continue to update you. Please note that this impacts all Undisclosed Commission Car Finance claims and lenders are not yet making payments until the aforementioned decisions have been made. If your claim relates to Irresponsible Lending, or if you have any other questions regarding Undisclosed Commission claims, please reach out to us via email at Hello@theclaimsguyslegal.com. Kind regards, The Claims Guys Legal.

Dear Erica, Thank you for your review. We have been issuing updates to all clients with open Undisclosed Commission claims via email: In January 2024, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced a review of the historical use of motor finance commission arrangements. As part of this, the FCA updated their rules to allow Lenders to pause issuing final responses to claims about Discretionary Commission Arrangements until 24 September 2024. On 30 July 2024, the Financial Conduct Authority started a consultation on extending the current pause on handling these complaints. The regulator has suggested that the pause could be extended until 04 December 2025, however, they have also indicated that they may have completed their work as early as May 2025 and if so, would seek to end the proposed pause early. At this time, we continue working on your behalf and, as updates become available, we will continue to update you. If your claim relates to Irresponsible Lending, or if you have any other questions regarding Undisclosed Commission claims, please reach out to us via email at Hello@theclaimsguyslegal.com. Kind regards, The Claims Guys Legal.

The advert draws you in with a promise of compensation but fails to give you any cooling off period before they rush into putting in your claim. I have informed them I do not want them to follow up my claim and had no reply. They only replied to my request in a matter of seconds and were asking for a review. I normally only review something when it has actually perfomed the service I have asked for. Three requests for reviews is not proffessional and I have there for e requested that they stop any claim on my behalf. Especially as no one can even hope to get compensation for this untill December and the high court still has not ruled on this something the company dont tell you in there advert.

Dear Mr Colton, Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of our services. We include links to allow our clients to provide a review of our services so far at key points during our service provision; this includes within our welcome email and letter of claim notification email. Obtaining feedback at from our clients at different stages throughout their relationship with us allows us to better understand where improvement is required. For the most part, review links are incorporated into updates that are already being sent to our clients, so as not to be intrusive. We are sorry that you felt our requests were unprofessional. We inform prospective clients that they will not receive a response to their complaint until after December 2025 due to temporary rules put in place by the Financial Conduct Authority, on our website and in our client care documents, which we require all clients to confirm they have read and understood before instructing us. Whilst you are correct, in that car finance commissions are being considered by the courts, not all complaints about car finance commission are contingent on this. In October 2024, the Court of Appeal ruled in favour of the consumer in “Johnson and others”, deciding that where a lender paid a car dealership a commission for arranging a car finance agreement, and this was hidden, the commission was unlawful. The lenders appealed this decision, and earlier this month the appeal was heard in the Supreme Court. We anticipate that judgment will be handed down during Summer 2025. Prior, and separate, to this court case, the Financial Conduct Authority has been undertaking a review of discretionary commission arrangements in car finance since January 2024 and is likely to find that these were detrimental to consumers regardless of any decision taken by the Supreme Court. If you have any further questions, we welcome you to email us at feedback@theclaimsguyslegal.com Kind regards, The Claims Guys Legal.

My car finance loan was taken out by my late husband, Robert Shanks, but there is no provision in the claim process so far for me to explain that. I have sent 2 emails, but have not had any acknowledgment up to now.

Changed from my original review. You do actually get your money… well some of it, they take 40% as a fee. Nothing in the sign up process does it say about this big fee that they take which is disappointing. I guess it will say that in their terms and conditions but should really be displayed in the process. I still wouldn’t recommend this company but if your really struggling with money, its better than nothing to get some money back.
