“I ordered a 4XL jacket. They sent me a large. The label said 3C, which is Belgian Army/NATO code for large. When I emailed them to say it was much too small they told me it was a 4XL, the biggest they have, and I couldn't have a refund. After a little back and forth they accepted it back and gave me a refund. However this left me £10.50 out of pocket, £7 for their 'postage' and £3.50 for mine.”

Thanks for the review and we are sorry that the variety of military sizing systems - and our simplified system for customer benefit - possibly led to the frustrations you outline. We did accept your return in this case as we wanted to check your complaint, and the chest size was found to be correct and matched our advertised size, hence our position on the no return, and no refund for the agreed return to us was warranted. Indeed, we are keen to remind all customers that whereas we sell our DISTRESSED garments under the clearly advertised method of no returns, if we have described the garment inaccurately or it fails in its serviceability, a return because of mis-description is acceptable, and if proven as well-founded, we will refund. Please note: The single chest dimension does of course not represent the arm lengths, tummy, and shoulder sizes, which may have been why the garment did not fit, but for the military personnel the garment was originally intended for, it would have been a standard fit and accommodated the physique of a combat ready soldier.

“Bought a pair of Grade 1 Meindl boots for our son which lasted 6 months before both soles fell off. Requested a replacement but not part of their T&Cs. Not sure how that represents Grade 1 quality?”

“The boots arrived in good time, and are in excellent condition. Be aware that unlike the UK boot, the webbed tongue does not go all the way to the top of the boot, so if you step in water over your ankle your feet will get wet. “what a pity; price ok, shipping ok but after 5 washes even with vinegar the strong smell remains; I'll have to throw it away after arguing with my wife !!!! Belgian Jigsaw Camo”
