“Received a faulty product and raised it as an issue. I had to remind the company of their own guarantee because they told me that even though it was bent, it was still good. I had to insist that I didn't pay for a bent product and that it was not as described. The communication was pretty poor but they eventually replaced it with a good one. It was one of a pair (in the same packaging). The other was flat so it clearly had not been damaged in transit - it had been sent out like that.”

Hi Samantha, We are sorry to hear that you feel disappointed. I can see from your order that you have ordered a product and chosen the finish in Clear Matt. As we show in our product pictures and explain further in 'Materials & Finishes' page, clear coating only adds a layer of protection. A clear coat keeps steel’s natural color, all imperfections, weld and burn marks visible, which is great if you are after that raw industrial look. This means that steel with clear powder coated finish will not have that perfect stainless steel look, which customers sometimes expect when choose clear finish. We take a pride in what we do, and only produce the best quality products, therefore if there has been a man error, please send us pictures to admin@stoaked.co.uk and we will get this rectified as soon as possible. “I took a long time saving up for my hall stand as I could not find anywhere else offering a custom made service as Stoaked do. Their pre-purchase communication was very good with detailed drawings and specifications emailed to me to enable me to place my order. Delivery was within the advertised timeframe and the delivery person brought the item into my entryway and positioned it. Whilst overall I was pleased with my hall stand, which was custom made to my required dimensions, I was disappointed when I unwrapped it (although well packaged for transit) to find a scratch in the finished paintwork of the metal seat/bench surround. As the paintwork is white, the scratch is obvious and must have been there before the hall stand was wrapped for transit. I did contact Stoaked regarding this as soon as I unwrapped it, but never heard back from them which was very disappointing customer service after purchase.”

“Five stars for craftsmanship - the customised table frame was fine, BUT...it was addressed and delivered to someone 300 miles from me. I have lost count of the number of emails/phone calls/promised new delivery dates. It must have been equally annoying (and time-wasting) for the erroneous recipient, too. I believe someone from Stoaked eventually drove to London to collect it and deliver to the carrier. It arrived here exactly five weeks after the first due date - with the wrong bolts. Sigh. I hope that supervision/training of the workshop packers has improved and a more reliable carrier is now employed. I repeat, the frame is excellent. The delivery experience far less so.”
