It was clear there was a problem, yet no-one was talking about it - so we founded Polly. Polly.co.uk was launched in 2014, providing a free service to help parents find affordable family protection from reputable, FCA approved brokers and insurers. Since then, we've helped of 500,000 UK Mums towards protecting their family with life insurance.

“Filled in an online form for a quote. Since then, they have HOUNDED me with calls multiple times a day, every day. Never leave a voicemail, never email, just keep calling. Every time I block the number they keep calling from a new one! Never been so spammed with calls from a company and for that reason alone, I wouldn’t even consider taking out a policy with them. Polly; You SERIOUSLY need to change your sales strategy. Truly appalling.”

“NON STOP CALLS”

“Presumed the quote would be given online to then be phoned 3 times within 2 hours of entering my details, attempted to pick up the 3rd call and was then hung up on, no voicemail left at any point. I have been asked to be taken off the call list so hopefully that should resolve my issue.”

“STOP CALLING ME HAVE BLOCKED THEM NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY CONSTANTLY CALL ME FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS!!!?!! I am NOT interested”

“Bombarded with calls from different numbers despite telling the person on the first call I would like to be called after I finished work. Emotionally manipulative text was sent after I had been asked to be removed from the call list. Talk about pressure! I am not sure that the sales tactics are going to get you the numbers you need. It is very clear the team here work on commission.”

“I would give this company zero stars if I could. They’ve called me from multiple numbers, they refuse to let you go when you say it’s not a good time to talk, they then call you back from another number. And then repeat the whole thing each day. I’ve asked at least eight times for them to take me off their call list, yet they keep on calling. I might’ve considered insurance with them, but definitely not any more.”

“I’m the type of person that likes getting a quote online and then if I’m happy to do it all online which I thought this was as it says to go online for a quote. Little did I know that I would have 8 different phone numbers calling me. A lady called and asked if it was a good time to talk which it wasn’t as I was feeding my new born, she called again and asked if it was a good time and I said no my newborn is having an operation today. They still called that same day constantly. I have 8 different times calling me every day if it wasn’t for them petering me I would answer and get the insurance but this has put me of massively. I’ve had to block the numbers”

“As with all the other reviews, spoke to an advisor, got a quote by email (after deflecting push from agent to buy immediately), since when have been bombarded with daily calls from multiple numbers (all now blocked!). Wish I'd never contacted them in the first place. Have called them and asked them to stop calling, we'll see if that has any impact. Will not now consider buying from them, if this is their approach to customer experience. Note -the company is Candid Insurance, they operate as Polly, Tom, Winston and Anorak, so avoid them all!”

“I only wanted to get a quote sent via email or text message, but instead got hassled with phone calls and pushed to sign up when all I wanted was a quote. Ended up just trying to ignore phonecalls but they rang on different numbers from different areas, one being from my area (and at the time I was waiting for an important phonecall so I answered thinking it was the call I was expecting), no it was Polly again trying to push me to do the application 7 months onwards. Also I'm certain they sold my number because I've been getting spam caller after spam caller since doing the application.”

“Sells your information on to 3rd parties without prior permission, non stop harass you with calls from mobile phones before 9am- all which are highly illegal and break several date information and GDPR laws. Guess what?- STILL BOT GOT A QUOTE FROM THEM! My advice would be don’t touch polly.co.uk with a barge poll because they will not play by the law.”

“SOLD MY NUMBER TO SCAMMERS!!! non stop WhatsApp message from middle school eastern people AVOID! I will be taking legal action!!”

“I scheduled a call with them as I work but they rang 3 hours before the time agreed since then I've been bombarded by calls off them at all times of the day uta quiet annoying And if you do speak and tell them your busy there rude and abrupt”

“I put a quote in for a quote and couldn’t finish call because I didn’t have my bank card and I’ve received loads of calls off loads of different number I know no longer what to carry on thanks .”

“The guy I spoke to was friendly but I’m worried incase it is a scam as they calling me from mobile numbers rather than office number and reviews I have read people are saying it’s a scam. I have had documents through which all look ok but I can’t tell legit from fake. Why would they call from mobile numbers and different ones as well. This has made me a little wary”

“Went through a 30 minute intrusive call to be denied the only thing mentioned was having a personality disorder, is this not discrimination? So I can’t provide my child with financial support on the future bc you think I’m going to top myself? Think they need to realised that having a mental illness doesn’t mean I’m going to unalive myself. Also found out the don’t actually provide insurance but they sell your info on to 3rd parties… so I’m pregnant with no life insurance in place and now will get bombarded with strange scam companies. Fantastic. Just what I needed”

“Saw an advert on ITV2 and thought I would give them a go for a quote. PLEASE FOR YOUR SANITY LEAVE IT THERE! I have since been contacted multiple times on multiple different number despite me telling them I am NOT INTERESTED. It is no good blocking them as they just phone you off a different number.”

“Constantly calling non stop nearly everyday I have blocked so many of there numbers but they call on many other numbers”

“Constant phone calls. Never at a convenient time. So disruptive and rude. On that basis I will not be in contact with the company again.”
