Thanks for sharing Lynn. Please do check out our website for more recipes as you may find a different way to drink the Marmalade, but a teaspoon of added Marmalade to your glass does also sound delicious.
Hi Pat - thank you for taking the time to review. The vinegar tends to be stronger as an aroma than taste. So tips for reducing the aroma to get optimum balance:
- lots of ice in the glass
- fresh citrus garnish (eg slice of orange)
That helps to balance the vinegar aroma.
You could also look to use less, approx 15ml plus a mixer like tonic, ginger ale or alcohol-free sparkling wine. The Switchel will be more subtle but will help to bring extra bite and complexity to the mixers. And if thatās how you like it, your mother root will last twice as long!

Hi Tina - Thank you for taking the time to review. Sorry to hear you are disappointed in regards to ordering our Marmalade Switchel. Our Marmalade Switchel is a limited edition product, but we are bringing it back! We produce it annually in the Seville Orange season (so are starting now on the next production) and are due to release 2024 Marmalade in June.

There are many ways to drink Mother Root, I like it very strong so use 50ml per serving, but I know others prefer a weaker mix with 20ml. We also have a variety of recipes so you can try it in many different ways. We also recommend giving the bottle a good shake before drinking to make sure everything is mixed together.
