Returns page is unclear for US customers but the fee is exorbitant, and although the returned gloves were clearly unworn (still attached to each other and the tag), they claimed the pair I returned needed 25 GBP for cleaning. Shocking and unfortunate, and I’d originally returned the pair as they look cheap in person. Absolutely would not recommend Cornelia James unless you’re looking to burn money, whether you keep the gloves or not.

Not great. I attempted to modify my order after purchase and failed. Also the sizing recommendations from the websites didn't work for me.

I had a good experience overall. The gloves came within a reasonable time. I appreciate the thank you email I received from you guys letting me know your history and how it’s being prepared. Even down to the packaging, the box presented felt like I was opening up luxury. I around rate you all 9.5/10 - There is always room for improvement!

Overall experience was good, I do have some feedback though. The fit is pretty good, though I have rather wide hands, so the correct hand width means that the gloves are a little bit too long for my palm and so they bunch up quite a bit, but no big deal. The bow on these sits pretty much on the hem and doesn't really have as much space between the wrap around bow detail and the end of the gloves as it appears in the picture. Again, no big deal. My only real disappointment is that the gloves came covered in fibres, some white, some clear shiny and some brown (possibly from the white storage bag they came with???), and also have a white mark on them that doesn't brush off, so they will need to be cleaned. It's not a really big deal, but considering the price I have to be honest and say I'm a little disappointed. I guess my main feedback here is if it's from the storage bag, then perhaps switching to a different material for the bag and having a matching colour to the gloves eg black bag for black gloves. Shipping was a little slow, but that's beyond the control of the company and in the hands of the shipping gods. UPS doesn't really provide good tracking updates though. All in all I'm happy with the gloves and they are beautiful.

Dear Catherine Thank you very much for taking the time to review your gloves. I am so sorry about the white marks. Could it be tailor’s chalk? When we cut the gloves we sometimes mark up the cut lines with chalk and aim to cut just inside the line so that it doesn’t appear on the glove. It sounds as though we have missed the mark on this occasion. If it is tailor’s chalk, there is no need to have the whole glove cleaned - a baby wipe should remove it. Please do let us know how it goes. Sorry again to hear about the loose fibres - very annoying on a black glove! I can only think that you are correct in suggesting that they may have been picked up from the storage bag. The last stage for us before the gloves is packed is that it goes on a hand shaped iron to be lint rolled, pressed and inspected so that it goes into the box in perfect condition. It sounds as though we need to look again at the bag material. I checked back on the shipping. We received your order on a Friday and shipped on the Monday but the gloves took 10 days to reach you. Too long! UPS are great for the USA but maybe FedEx would have been a little quicker to Australia. We will review. We are happy to hear that you like the gloves - we will take onboard what you say about the bow placement. Thank you - again - for your feedback; it is very welcome and very helpful.

I purchased the Georgia, Pure Swiss Cotton Jersey Glove for $102 (USD) in March 2020 and subsequently bought several pairs in 2020 and 2021. Unfortunately, I encountered the same issue with each pair of gloves; a hole began to develop in one of the fingers. I decided to purchase a different glove, Merino Wool, in November 2021, and once again, a hole formed in the glove after one season of occasional use. It started as a small hole and developed into a much larger hole. I also noticed that the gloves' hem began to unravel pretty soon after the first wear. Finally, it's worth noting Cornelia James increased the price of the Cotton Jersey gloves by 67%, although the quality of the material is dreadful and extremely cheap. My overall opinion of Cornelia James' product is the packaging is gorgeous; however, the product is a poorly designed, cheap pricey glove for one-time or minimum use. Envision receiving a Neiman Marcus or Tiffany box gift-wrapped with a Walmart pair of gloves inside the box. Bloody rubbish. My best advice is to steer clear of this small mom-and-pop shop attempting to distinguish itself as a "Glovemakers of choice to the world of fashion." They can't be serious.
