“Ordering my gloves from Cornelia James was an outstanding experience. The gloves arrived in a timely fashion and were beautifully packaged. The gloves fit beautifully-- I think gloves like this are the reasons Royals look so Royal! These black Imogen gloves actually make my hands look smaller, too!”

“These gloves are beautiful and elegant! From the minute you receive the package and start opening it to the final "reveal," you know you have ordered something unique and spectacular. Because I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands, I was worried that the gloves wouldn't fit. I had a lot of questions and everyone was super helpful and patient. “My overall experience was fine. I had a question in the beginning of my order and Zoe contacted me in a timely fashion. She was kind and accommodating to me. However when I received my gloves I was disappointed. The packaging and presentation was awesome! When I tried on the gloves, I was extremely disappointed. I expected a sueded cotton fabric with more substance and weight. I did not expect them to be so lightweight. I’ll make them work for my outfit, but I probably will not order from Cornelia James again!”

Dear Marlene We are sad that you do not like your gloves. The sueded cotton is one of our favourite fabrics and one that we have been using for decades. It is very robust, very practical, has a good texture and makes up into a glove that is very definitely still ‘a dress glove’, especially in the longer, Francesca style that you chose. I know that your winters are colder than ours, but we would say that the sueded cotton is heavy enough for mild autumn weather. I know that it is too late to help now, but we do offer a swatch service so that you can make sure that you are buying what you need. We make a charge for shipping the swatch but give you an equivalent credit against your order. We do hope that you will give us another chance.
