“I’d tracked your shop down as I’m not from Southport and was just there for the weekend and needed an extra roll of film. Finding you was easy and it was such a joy to shop with you. Too often I find going in to a random shop and asking specific questions draws a blank response. But you not only knew your subject well, you were also knowledgable about my specific questions, friendly and enthusiastic. This is a rare quality and I appreciated it. So much so that I spent way more than I had originally intended to. The camera that I showed you is my Kodak Duaflex II. Nothing particularly rare but pretty cool all the same. I was given it by a friend who was literally going to throw it away. My challenge (as a grunge image maker) is finding the right film to fit. So, when Alex showed me your cabinet of film stock I was amazed to see not one but two rolls being offered at a terrific price, along with an equally rare type of 35mm film that was also at a great price, which I also had to buy. Altogether a wonderful and unexpected shopping experience.”

Hi Samuel, It's great to hear that your parcel arrived in perfect condition despite clearly being mishandled in transit. We can see from the "resealed by DPD" tape across the parcel that this has been thrown about or possibly even caught up in machinery within the DPD system. This is why we pack our parcels so well and include lots of filler and protection - to ensure that they can withstand the abuse they receive between leaving us and reaching you. We're a bit sad to hear that you won't shop with us again when the courier has let us down, but we've still ensured your item arrived with you safely! “I was looking for a replacement for my Sony Cybershot camera that had stopped working after several years of use. I looked at several alternatives online, but was still undecided after reading lots of reviews. One phone call to a very helpful chap at Wilkinson Cameras enabled me to choose exactly the right one for my needs. I needed a camera small enough to slip into a pocket, good zoom for taking wildlife photos, ideally good macro for taking insect photos and the ability to use on manual as well as auto. Living in a rural area, I miss so many great photo opportunities at times when I can't carry lots of kit with me, so having a small but versatile camera to hand is a must. The Panasonic TZ95 fitted the bill and was available as a bundle with case, memory card and mini tripod, which meant I got even better value for my money. It arrived the next day and, after patiently waiting for the battery to charge up, I took a few quick sample photos to check the camera was working ok. I was absolutely delighted with the ease of use of the camera and the quality of photos it produced. Although you can use it completely on auto, there are lots of different really useful settings so I'm going to make sure I spend time familiarising myself with the manual so that I can make the most of everything this little marvel can do.”
