“I ordered the Canon Pro100s from Wilkinson Cameras just before Christmas, I did not expect to receive this until 2019 given the time of year, however it arrived bang on time as indicated by Wilkinson/DPD 28th December. This was a tremendous effort given I’m in Aberdeenshire. The Canon Pro 100s was on a terrific bundle, there was consumables up to £50 free, and a further incentive to recycle your old printer responsibly via WEE, and in doing so a further discount was applied. This truly was a fantastic offer. Having been on Wilkinson Cameras website I can say that I think the pricing of consumables are very competitive and given my previous experience will support this family company in the future. I wish you a prosperous New Year.”

“Sara at Southport today solved a problem that I had with my Nikon D7200 - she explained on the telephone how to put the battery cover back after I had e mailed her photographs. She confirmed that her diagnosis was right by using shop stock to see that her solution worked. She sets a very high standard of customer care. Thanks Sara ! You sorted the problem in less than 10 minutes.”

“This is a confession as much as a review. I wandered into the Liverpool branch one afternoon confident I would not be spending any money, but then spotted an amazing price reduction on a lens. I knew it had cost much more, but now it was on sale for less, with a £160 cash back, too. I should have contacted my GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) counsellor at once, but failed, and asked an assistant if I could have a look at the lens. In no time my PIN was in the machine and the lens was bought. I have to say the young lady who initially dealt with me was extremely pleasant and really knowledgeable. I was not surprised she was about to go and work for herself in photography. Her enthusiasm and knowledge were impressive. Even when she disappeared off the shop floor another lady was very attentive and kind. These things matter and make it easier to step back into the shop.”

“Dropped into Wilkinson Cameras in Preston to look at a new Telephoto lens for my Panasonic camera and they were very helpful. As well as looking at the lens they had a body with fully charged battery that I could attach it to and use to evaluate the it. The staff member assisting me let me take the system out into the mall where the shop is situated to test the lens and would, he said, have let me take it out at the back of the shop to use in day light but unfortunately it was raining heavily. However I decided to purchase the lens and got a good price for such a new product and a new UV filter to fit the lens as well. I can say that I am very pleased with the new lens and the service and help that I received from the shop staff, who could not do more to help assist me with my purchase, and yet at no time did I feel under any undue pressure to make a purchase. All in all a very good buying experience.”

“I can't speak highly enough of Wilkinson Cameras and in particular Chris Everett in the Liverpool Branch. I was looking for a compact camera to carry around pretty much all the time and to save having to carry my main camera around on social outings. Chris was very helpful, knowledgable and above all great to deal with. I don't like being pushed into buying something I don't want or need and at Wilkinson Cameras I didn't have to worry about that at I juts got good advice was able to try out the camera and make a considered and what has proved to be very good choice. In the end I decided to go for a Panasonic DMC - LX100 and it is just fantastic and can even give my Olympus OMD EM1a run for its money in casual shooting. I've uploaded a shot I took recently with the camera as a sample. I did have a little bit of a problem claiming cash back on my purchase from Panasonic and Chris sorted that out for me without any hassle at all. Its genuinely refreshing to receive the kind of care and attention and good old fashioned customer service that Wilkinson Cameras provide and will buy again from them without hesitation when I next need some kit.”

“Wilkinson Cameras is always my first choice when buying camera equipment. I recently had problems with a new Olympus camera which had to be returned (twice) to Olympus. Joe and his staff at Carlisle could not have been more helpful. At one point Joe even offered to send a replacement camera to Italy when I was let down on holiday. When I bought a new Canon 5D mk iv there was no question about where I would buy it. Wilkinson always give a good deal, staff are always helpful, and you know you can rely on their help when something goes wrong. Would you get this when buying from another supplier on the internet? I doubt it. Cameras and equipment are not cheap. If you want the best, buy it from the best - Wilkinson Cameras.”

“Pity there isn;t a button and star for 'Excellent' because I would have ticked that! We've bought many things in the past online - had them sent thro the post etc with all manner of good and not so good service both from shops and the post. On a friends recommendation I decided I would actually physically drive to Southport (a 70 mile round trip) to visit Wilkinsons and speak to Sara. Quite simply we haven;t bought online since ... Sara made us a very reasonable offer when we wanted to px and subsequently has made us a more than reasonable offer on a first class second hand lens. Sara is friendly, a good business woman and a thoroughly nice person to deal with - I hope you will pass our comments on to her - she deserves to know that she is good at her job and valued by customers!
