“Urban Village helped me sell my late father's property after he died just 18 months after moving in. They had also handled the original purchase and so were the natural choice to return to. They were sympathetic about the situation and, most importantly, secured serious buyers quickly. I had total confidence in what they told me about the buyers and how likely they would be to stick with a process going through probate. I also felt they shared enough information about the buyers for me to feel a bit of connection, and that my late father's much loved flat was going to people who loved it too and were excited to make it their home. In a sad situation, this was reassuring and helpful and the sale went through successfully. The only reason for 4, rather than 5 stars, is that towards the end of the process, I was chased bluntly over email on some points completely outside my control where I felt a second and third chaser to my solicitor would have been more appropriate. Personal perspective here - I acknowledge that some people wouldn't have batted an eyelid. If the chasers had to be to me, then emailing to ask when I could speak would have been better and a more delicate approach to take towards a bereaved customer. There was a slight sense of 'need to get this off my desk in the next 5 seconds', if I'm honest, which jarred with me in the circumstances.”
