“I bought two pairs - me and my wife. FIRST, after a week, one of my insoles wasn't glued down: it kept sliding backwards. They replaced them. But I had to really fight for it. THEN, after about 6 months the leather on both pairs of boots started to wear, badly. And soon after that one of the lace points (the hook) just snapped off in my hand while I was lacing up. Took both pairs in and - after a fight, again - they would only replace the pair with the broken lace point, saying that the worn leather was our fault for not taking better care of the boots. FINALLY - the gromit on my brand new pair just popped out on the second hike. I couldn't believe it. Also, NOT waterproof. And, my wife's lace point broke in exactly the same way mine had. SO, ALTOGETHER: in less than a year, two pairs of boots: - insole - gromit - two lace points - two sets of leather - oh, and they're not waterproof DON'T GET THESE - made in China - JUNK BOOTS that aren't worth £79. And advertising them as valued at £199, Trespass? False advertising, corrupt marketing, and down right dirty trickery. I will never buy anything from them again.”

“Ordered two jackets, two different sizes. The fitting is really snug and allows for a shirt but would not allow for a chunky jumper during Winter. Both sent back. Will not purchase again as the shop assistants even said the sizes are small fitting. Why have a label if it doesn’t tell you the true size?!!!!”

“Trespass Men's DLX Vibram Walking Boots Renton Black Size 11 Bought these in February 2026 to use for my morning walk on the trail through our local woods, before work each morning. By early August they had fallen apart (front & sides) and the Vibram sole had almost worn through. For a pair of boots that supposedly cost £209.99, although were bought in a "sale" for £79.99, I thought it was reasonable to expect to get more than 6 months use from them. I would be interested to know if the 5 star reviews of these boots were posted not long after purchasing, thereby not giving a true reflection of their performance.”

“I want to leave a review especially for 'Orlando' who works at the Kendal Trespass store, Cumbria. What a lovely, professional and knowledgeable chap with a great sense of humour. A real asset to your company. (is there anyway of getting this review to his line manager?) I bought a pair of ladies leather Scarpa walking boots today, as after 10 long years of hard walking my old pair gave up the ghost! Thank you Orlando for helping me choose a really comfortable pair which i'm wearing right now, breaking them in, as i write this review! Kind regards Kate”

“Living in the Lake District I live in 'outdoor clothes' on a daily basis, be it walking the dog or hiking in the fells. I want good quality items that are affordable, and I've found Trespass to be very reliable and (in the sales) a decent price. I only ever buy anything in the sales and refuse to pay full price on principle! :-D I've recently stocked up on a lot of summer t-shirts and vests in the sale and have been very happy with the majority of the items. Anything that didn't fit was easily returned for a refund. I bought an excellent 20,000 waterproof DLX Katya jacket at a hugely reduced price and the quality is 10/10, it'll last me years - I couldn't be happier! Refunds for online purchases are simple.”

“Bought the 'Trespass Mens Walking Shoes Scarp' today, was surprised how comfortable they were. Great quality & they fit like a glove (with room to move obviously!). They were in your sale reduced from £114.99 to £45.99, Excellent value! I am very happy with my purchase too, highly recommended.”

“I don't know how there are so many negative reviews here as I have always nothing short of cheerful helpful service, generally excellent products for their price and very reasonable refunds for returns or issues - for not quite fitting to one issue with a shoe getting unglued. Though in 10 years I've really only needed refunds 3x I think. The waterproof clothes are excellent, the shoes are consistently sized, the casual clothes are more hit and miss but that's a taste thing. And accessories are bargains! Most recently I bought a water bottle that's the diameter of a can and fits in a car drinks holder (yay!), an excellent softshell jacket, a pair of hiking boots, socks, and my partner found belts. I wish our local store was still open.”

“Loved them. Bought for my holiday in December last year. Thought I'd get them out for May back holiday. 😫 So disappointed the straps at the back are on their last threats. Very poor design and workmanship. Loved the colour and design. Sadly I won't be buying again.”

“Always worn 9.5 or 10 depending on brand. Ordered both, too small, didn't loose hope and ordered 11, just about fit on front but too large otherwise that it comes off from the back while walking. Very akward sizing. Never owned Tresspass footwear in past but after 1st experience like this and paying for returns too, not worth the hassle.”

“Awful dispatch and delivery I placed an order on 3rd of May, using same details on previous order, they said royal mail returned due to not being able to identify the address. They cancelled that one, I placed a new order , they first sent an email saying one item is out of stock , which is fine. few moments later , the same story of royal mail: and then order cancelled again”

“I purchased the Tappin jacket just over a year ago, and the jacket had always had a faulty zip in that it was always stiff but I thought initially that it was just brand new and needed time to get working properly. Then the zip near the top of the jacket broke a few days ago. I contacted Trespass about this and they refused to refund because the jacket was out of warranty. The website does not mention anything about warranties in the return section and it says to send photos of the fault which I did. I also explained I was covered under the Consumer Rights Act but they still refused. I then asked for a partial refund which I am entitled to under the Act or a repair or replacement but I was still told it was out of warranty, which has nothing to do with my basic consumer rights. I also tried on the same jacket although not the same size in a trespass shop and found that the zip worked normally so the zip I had must have been faulty from the start.”

“Ordered the ladies Janus ll ski socks, having had them before. One pair (grey) were fine. The pink pair were a completely different size! Very small like a child's size. They were very short and only came halfway up my leg. I have very slim legs, in case you are picturing tree trunks! Could not wear them at all. Tresspass not interested when I contacted them, with photographs. Won't buy from Tresspass again.”

“I bought a pair of Magellan DLX shoes for a trip to Iceland. The temperature was always minus degrees and these shoes were excellent - not once had cold feet, and wearing normal winter socks. The grip was excellent too. I am normally a size 8/42 but trying a pair on in store I went for size 9/43 which was ideal. Very light weight so didn’t weigh down luggage on the way.”

“It is advertised as having two flap pockets but that is not true, they are false pockets! why do women’s jackets have so few pockets! There isn’t even an inner security pocket. The two zip pockets are quite small as well.”
