“Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the service of the shop. I bought a tie, the quality of with is perfect I have to admit and I really like it. Still, as I live in Spain, I had to pay 7 pounds as the costs of a delivery, which thing I understand and accept. However, when the product has been already delivered to me, the post office told me that I had to pay 8 euros more for the delivery, which means I had to pay twice for the same thing and it cost me more than a tie itself. While contacting with the consultant from the shop, he/she informed me that every country had its policy of delivery and this didn't depend on them, the thing which seems hard to believe for me as I buy products from different countries (also outside EU) and such a situation happens to me for the first time. I believe that a shop should clearly inform about it in the process of a purchase from abroad. Apart from it, once again, my negative opinion refers to the payment and information itself, not a product. About the latter one, I have nothing negative to say, on the contrary it is of a very good quality and I can recommend it.”

Hi Ewa Thank you for your order and for taking the time to leave a review. Firstly, we are pleased you are happy with the quality of the tie you ordered. With regards the extra charge you had to pay, unfortunately this is beyond our control. This payment is a customs charge. As we are outside the EU, we do not charge you VAT tax and then you pay the customs deemed applicable within your country. Whilst we understand this may be frustrating, I can assure you we get no benefit from it whatsoever. There was an EU VAT reform on 1st July, which means the exemption for goods under EUR 22 has now been removed. We really do appreciate your order with us but feel a one star review for our service is unfair given the circumstances of the VAT reform, which affects everyone not just our business. “I ordered a bow tie and some matching socks, and they were all of gorgeous quality! I left things to the last minute and they arrived quickly. I also returned one bow tie I decided I didn't want to keep and it was refunded very efficiently. A great shopping experience! I will definitely shop here again next time.”

“My recent purchase of a tie with diagonal blue/black stripes has been seriously good. Firstly, the tie oozes quality, so well made a really nice colour, great shape and length. Much better than I was expecting and at such a good price. Customer service cannot be faulted either, a quick simple transaction and the tie arrived promptly. I will buy here again and recommend others to buy here too. Thank you.”
