About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“I am passionate about supporting British craftsmanship and while searching for a sofa throw found this website. Loved the story behind the company and the information re the mills and comprehensive details regarding the wool and its sources. Customer service is excellent with prompt delivery and item beautifully and securely packaged. Chuffed with my purchase as quality excellent and I will certainly purchase from this website again.”

“The blanket it really high quality, and I’m really happy with the colour and design, it makes our living room feel much cosier! I like how the material is soft and not itchy like some wool can be. It also arrived really quickly which was impressive.”

“I ordered a wool waterproof picnic rug recently and it is absolutely lovely, beautifully made and excellent quality. The packaging and finishing touches inside the package were excellent and felt personal too. All in all I’m over the moon with my purchase and very happy to be buying a high quality UK product. “Ordered the Cream coloured Merino blanket, and it is very lovely. Unfortunately, with old age, my skin has become thinner and more sensitive, so i regretfully returned it. Very well made.”

“I was not impressed by the quality of the blankets. Thought they were a little rough compared to a few others I have. However, the approval to return and refund was quick but shame I had to a pay for the return as it was a large package!”

Thank you for your review Lisa and we're sorry you weren't keen on the feel of the blankets. Please do take a look at our Merino Lambswool collection which are softer in feel and tend to be preferred by customers who have sensitive skin. We have equivalents to the designs you ordered in the merino, and we ship exchanges free of charge.
