About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“We ordered a beautiful sage green blanket. It arrived swiftly and was GORGEOUS. It was soft, thick, warm and snuggly. Unfortunately, the colour didn't work for us and so we had to rethink. It was easy to arrange a return and we plan to order another colour.”

“The blanket is on my bed. My duvet has been put away for the summer. I am sleeping so comfortably now. You’re blanket is attractive to look at and is perfect as a decent sized throw.”

“Back in January 2022 my wonderful husband was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and was given months to live. I was at home alone dealing with this devastating news, mostly sitting on the sofa and I needed comfort, to be wrapped in something, and I had a feeling that we would both need it. So I searched for a British-made blanket and came across your wonderful company. I ordered a beautiful red throw and was so pleased when it arrived. My husband wondered why I had bought it, (men and soft furnishings etc) and explained my reasoning. As his illness rapidly progressed he never stopped using the blanket! He was so cold and would wrap himself up in it and he loved the warmth it gave him. He would lay on the sofa and I would tuck it around him. Our life was never the same and he sadly passed away on May 2nd, fifteen weeks after diagnosis. I can't explain what comfort the blanket gave us at that time but it was a help and I shall always have that connection with it. Since then I also purchased a beautiful blanket scarf for a dear friend who had kindly walked our dog so that I could spend precious time at home. It was a big thank you hug from both of us. Thank you . x”

“So pleased with my new blanket. Quality is fantastic and it’s machine washable which not many others are. It was out of stock initially but as promised the company emailed me when it was available and the ordering and delivery was seamless. Would definitely recommend”

“I was looking at various companies to source some throws for my new sofa. Didn’t want anything that looked like it should be on a bed rather than in the lounge. The British Blanket Company had some lovely blankets. They are much softer in real life rather than in the pics on the website where I had convinced myself they might be a bit scratchy! Easy to order…. delivered in a timely manner… excellent paper packaging… wonderful product!”

“Gorgeous four Herringbone Armchair Throws - 2 in navy blue and two in duck egg blue. They look stunning and feel soft to the touch. I am ready for cooler summer this year but of course, I hope for the sun too! The customer service and delivery are unbelievably speedy and all well packed and delivered to my hand at an express time. Thank you! I will buy again in the future.”
