About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“The navy blue and grey picnic blanket is well made and beautiful. I chose navy blue to go with the dishes in the picnic hamper I am giving as a wedding present. It was easy to order on line, shipping to the US was fast and arrived in perfect condition. So happy with this purchase.”

“The throw I purchased looked beautiful and felt lovely and soft. It was not for me but I was sending it to Australia. A bit like coals to Newcastle but I am sure an English wool blanket is far superior to an Australian one!”

“I love the smaller armchair throw that I ordered. Things that have impressed me are : the colour range, the size range, use of natural fibres, speed of delivery, a service that although on the internet felt personal and also that it’s British made.”

“Great to be able to support a family run business here on my doorstep in Bristol. I come from Halifax where the famous Piece Hall was the centre of cloth trading in days gone by. I love the fact that the British Blanket Company uses traditional techniques in historic mills.”

“I have been looking for a special blanket for a few months for my room, I usually shop at JLewis but nothing has caught my eye. I came across the British Blanket Company by chance and took a look at their website, I was extremely impressed with the choice, colours, sustainable fabrics. I felt the prices were very reasonable and decided to purchase a particular one, amazing quality and just what I wanted! I am already looking for another.”
