About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“I purchased a wool throw - Ordered on a Sunday and delivered Tuesday to Wiltshire. The throw is warm and ideal for colder nights. Well worth the extra £’s over a fleece version, good quality and would recommend the British Blanked Company”

“Very disappointed that this potentially stylish and very warm blanket has a strong chemical smell. Would welcome any advice on how to get it out, otherwise will sadly have to return. This seems to be more and more of an issue with modern wool products and I have found normal washing doesn't make any difference.”

Thank you for getting in touch. We're pleased to reassure you that we don't use any harsh chemicals in making our blankets - wool is a natural material that requires minimal processing, so happily we don't need to use chemicals. We have emailed you some more information on airing and washing your wool blanket to help with the natural lanolin scent you might be experiencing.

“I am so pleased with my blanket from The British Blanket Company. To find a king size blanket made of natural fibres is hard to do!
