“I was a Senior languages teacher and lead Practitioner in a large secondary school and though the TEFL would be easy for me, it wasn’t! I was really impressed with the detail and relevance of all the units involved and the assignments really were thought-provoking and challenging but also enjoyable. Feedback was detailed and constructive and although I achieved a distinction in all sections it really pushed me to reflect. Thouroughly recommend the TEFL Academy.”

“The TEFL Qualifi Level 5 Course is a value to anyone who wants the opportunity to teach abroad and be able to go there with the most knowledge and background to teach and be successful. Throughout the course I have learned a lot of new things, as well as new ways of communicating certain information to the students I am teaching at the moment. The course gives you all the materials and equip you with everything that is needed as a teacher. The course gave me a opportunity to evaluate myself as well and work on things I can do better when teaching my students. It has also given me new ideas to use in class and make learning more fun for my students. You will not be disappointed with the course and it will definitely help you as a teacher (new and experience). I would (and have) recommend this course to anyone that wants to teach abroad. I'm even going to do more courses with The TEFL Academy to better myself and get as much information about all the different areas (phases) they can provide me.”

“The course is overall very comprehensive. They are extra resources available if students would like to know more about the topic. Instruction is very clear as well. The marking for assignments are thorough and tutor gave good feedback for students to improve themselves. It can be tedious but it’ll be manageable once you put in your time and effort to do it”

“This course was excellent, very well structured and covering all aspects including grammar and informal communication. I learned in particular a great deal about lesson planning and about eliciting repsonses from students. I ofdn the online help very good with speedy and helpful response, and the tutor on the weekend part of the course most helpful too.”

“The course material is clearly written and well organised, very relevant to practice and it anticipates most situations a language teacher may encounter during their practice. It also provides useful resources and teaching material for future practice. I saved those resources on my laptop, for future reference. This course is a sound basis for those who wish to teach languages.”

“I’m reviewing the TEFL Academy Level 5 (168 hour course). Course material and platforms: Distance learning via the internet is always a challenge (especially when one misses the practical application in class in person). The material was relevant, practical and thought engaging. The progression structure of the course made sure that one understood the fundamentals before proceeding so that you can consolidate the knowledge learned. It would be great if the course material could be made available in a pdf format offline for students who have passed the course (i understand that it expires after 6 months after completing the course). Review of assignments: Assignments were relevant to practical classroom situations and not just a theoretical exercise. Putting one in the hypothetical position of having to consider all the details one would confront in class. Reviews on one’s submission were done within time limits. Additional commentary was provided and how one can improve. I would appreciate tips or references that one could visit to improve on the areas that i did not succeed. Response to queries: very prompt response in less than 48 hours so that your progress is not hindered. Overall experience: Very good. 4/5 stars. I have not attended any other TEFL courses. However, I’m drawing on my experiences in lecture rooms from my undergraduate degree studies and distance learning courses.”

“I studied the level 5 TEFL course of 168 hours and while it was challenging, it proved to be a rewarding experience. When I needed advice or support it was there. I hadn't studied formally for thirty years so it was necessary for me to discipline myself, put in the necessary hours and do the extra research needed to build up my knowledge base. The course is well designed, systemically building up layers and giving opportunities to show what has been learned as you make progress through the stages and modules. All in all, I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to test themselves, expand their skills skills and be ready to teach!”

“The TEFL Academy provides useful and specific advice to help you begin your journey into the ESL world, even before enrolling in the course. “I studied the Level 5 TEFL Course (168 hrs). The site was easy to navigate and clear to understand. The assignments were also clear and the requirements for submission was very clearly stated. They responded to tickets logged very quickly and answered all my questions. I was impressed and so happy I went with TEFL academy, I did my homework before I signed up and I am glad I did as there are other TEFL institutions that I do not think measure up.”
