“TEFL has been a great course to take part in. All the units were explained clearly and tested my teaching knowledge well. It has been well worth the money and I believe I will use this qualification throughout all aspects of life. The end of topic tests were beneficial as they really tested my knowledge on the subject.”

“Overall a very well-structured program, it allowed me to get my certification in the comfort of my home so I’m really greatful for that. Also, the lessons and the tutors were always very clear and easy to follow when explaining subjects. I had a great time completing the course. Totally recommend!”

“I took the level 5 course. The course went into details of topics that are relevant to being a teacher. Especially the focus on engaging, interactive learning was interesting and helpful. The format of the course is limited (as it must be in this kind of online format), yet it still has variety. Different kinds of tasks to process what we learned, different kinds of topics covered and bigger assignments. The only thing I can see missing is actual teaching practice, which is also offered by The TEFL Academy. I think I learned a lot from this course, and it was a good experience to take it.”

“I did the Level 5 TEFL online. The website was easy to use, it was all organized. For each topic, it provided resources that are very useful. It also explained various games and fun activities according to different English levels. It included how to teach pronunciation, yet it requires one to search for more information on it. The test after each unit is easy to understand and includes the information learned on the unit. The assignments are complex and their instructions are somehow difficult to understand. It is important to read the instruction a couple of times and to pay attention to details. The assignments require dedication and effort. They are graded very carefully and the feedback is detailed.”

“After working as a teacher for years you feel you're stuck in a rut. Everything seems to be familiar and right. You feel a bit overconfident. Doing the Level 5 TEFL course you have to complete 3 written assignments related to English teaching. That is a challenge! You're assessed not by a computer but by real people. For me, that was the most difficult and exciting part of the course. I'm proud that I am good at teaching).”

“The course has been amazing to learn, I enjoyed it thoroughly and the tutors were always efficient in replying and with their feedback. I would recommend the course to anyone, especially people that are unable to go out and study! The tefl qualification has given a boost to my cv as well!!!”

“I finished my Tefl this year, it took longer than I expected, which I think it´s a good thing, meaning it´s not as simple as many people may think. The information they had helped me a lot to improve my lessons, and I only had one issue with an extension of the course, which they fixed straight away. 10/10”

“Thank you TEFL Academy, I enjoyed completing the level 5 Tefl course, the assignments were challenging and fun, each task and unit made me see teaching English from a teachers perspective and allowed me to submerge myself into the undertakings and requirements of a classroom teacher. the course was invaluable and the tools will be of great advantage to anyone who does the course.”

“My experience with the TEFL Academy can be described in two words: clear and professional. All the requirements were specified at the beginning. They didn't change or multiply during the course. Each unit provided me with a different set of ideas and reflections which I could have used during my assignments. This course gave me a new perspective on teaching English and it showed me that it can be original or as much as original or funny the teacher is.”

“I am very glad to have gotten my Level 3 TEFL certification through The TEFL Academy. The TEFL Academy provides high-quality courses that have interactive activities and quizzes in the lessons to keep you engaged. The lessons have plenty of examples and case studies so that it is easier to understand and retain the theories and methods learned. While they do have videos in the lessons, the lessons are mostly in text to accommodate those who may have limited data, which I thought was very convenient and considerate.”

“I completed the level 5 TEFL course in Jan 2022, having started in August 2021. Took a bit longer than I expected due to covid keeping my 4 year old son off school! The Academy are a very professional organisation and were very helpful and speedy with me when I had questions. I was worried about the grammar aspect, and yes, there were some harder parts, but the information given really helped. Recommend the course. I live in Spain so hoping to use it soon. Good luck with your studies xx”

“I’ve just completed my level 5 certificate with the TTA. It's is a well-designed course that’s easy to follow. The ten units are clear and well organised, with little exercises along the way to keep you on your toes. There's an end of unit test throughout and three assignments. They've left no stone unturned when it comes to the English language. I was pleasantly surprised by the history lesson in unit 8 which explains how and why English became the global language. I’m pleased that I distinguished the wheat from the chaff because there are many TEFL organisations out there, which can be overwhelming. If there's anything I would suggest, it would be to include the option of a couple of video calls with a tutor. I would’ve found it useful, especially pre-assignments. However, the lack thereof doesn’t take away the fact that it's a great course.”

“I have taken Online Level 5 TEFL Course and I must say that it has been the best decision to take. Each unit is very interesting and all of them are closely connected. The information provided in each of them is very useful: not only the content of the unit but also the reading material, the videos and the suggested sites for further reading. I got my teaching degree in 2008 and my degree in Education in 2017 and last year I felt the need to continue studying. This course has given me the chance to refresh already known concepts and to incorporate new ideas to make classes more meaningful and interesting for students.”

“I took the level 5 TEFL course at the TEFL Academy and I learned quite a bit. The help center is pretty timely in their responses and the course was very thorough and detailed and offers extra resources througgout that you can use on your own. The only thing I would have liked added to this course is more video media.. I feel ready for the next step which would just be practicing now!”

“I found the online portion of the course to be thorough and detailed, if somewhat easy to get through. However, the assignments were crafted in such a way to ensure that the online material was applied and used for creating practical lesson plans and teaching ideas. At the end, I had a great foundation, a challenging in a practical way learning experience, and some great tools and resources to bring into a TEFL teaching situation.”
