“I researched different TEFL accreditations for hours before deciding on the TEFL Academy and I'm glad I did! The course gave me the necessary skills and knowledge to teach English as a foreign language anywhere in the world. As a university graduate, I found the course quite rigorous so I would recommend to those with previous study experience!”

“The Level 5 168 hour TEFL course is currently the best course online available from the TEFL Academy , I'll advise anybody who is looking to get qualified to do it through them, I really appreciate the way the team and tutors respond to important questions and information as you progress through the course , they certainly don't give you a sense of no care attitude from the day you purchase the course , much respect and much success to the team”

“Overall, I have had a fantastic experience with TEFL academy. Not only could I complete this course around my everyday work, but the work was interesting, the assignments were enjoyable to complete. Plus the support was there if I needed it. I have had a few courses conducted online over the last couple of years, but this was by far one of the better experiences I have had. I even learnt new things about my own first language I had never even thought about. I would highly recommend!”

“Doing the Level 5 TEFL course was an amazing experience. I found that the online platform is very easy to use. “This academy offers the best course material that covers most topics related to teaching English. Each unit is well organised and you can always go back and re-read and do the activities again so you can get satisfied with the course. Their assignments are easy to do and they are enjoyable in that you get to experience how it is as a teacher to plan for a class.”

“The course is boring (ironic since it's prodominantly about how to make lessons effective and engaging for students) But it does the trick The most annoying thing is how long it's currently taking for them to send the PDF of my Certificate after my completion of the course.”

“I set out from day one, positive about doing a TEFL Course (even though I chose the 168 hours) well within the six months. Unfortunately I got very ill and for most of October last year I was unable to work on the course. After almost a six weeks’ absence, I basically started all over again, and this is when my stress levels went through the roof as I couldn’t always find what I was wanting to review before moving on (considering much of this terminology is specific to TEFL and new to me). I could not remember all the information straight away - HAD TO REVISE often) and had to wade through pages to find the right place. So if there is a criticism from my side, it has to do with the platform not being user friendly enough. I had to always go back to a specific unit and part, searching and opening lots of pages before finding what I was looking for. Busy students (and working against the six months’ clock) need keyword access to aid revision and ease of study. I also stressed to get through the work to reach the first assignment. Again, more transparency right at the start would’ve been useful. If I knew what I was getting for an assignment, I could’ve searched and kept material which would’ve been useful for the assignment throughout - e.g. images - which would’ve been a great timesaver. Also, one’s mind will start the process of collecting and processing specific information - storing it for an assignment - well in advance, which imo keeps the mind calm for full action once the required material for a specific assignment has been covered. As far as feedback from lecturers is concerned, I found their comments fair and helpful, and done well within the eight days suggested for a return of an assignment. - (student Margaretha Botha nee Menichini)”
