Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that you are unhappy that we have changed our Courier partner but having investigated your comments we are unable to find any major fault with the two deliveries that have been made to you by DX. Here are the facts: - 1. You placed an order on Friday 10th March 2023 which was dispatched by us on the same day. The delivery was made to you by DX on Monday 13th March 2023. For some reason you sent us an email complaining that the delivery was not made on the Saturday. You had not paid an additional premium for a Saturday delivery or specified when you placed your order that you wanted the delivery made on the Saturday. DX are not at fault. 2. You placed your latest order on Monday 10th April 2023 which was a Bank Holiday. The order was dispatched on Tuesday 11th April 2023 and delivered to you on Wednesday 12th April 2023. We accept that the delivery was made slightly later that the delivery window but it was still made on a next day basis. After a relationship of 12 years we made the difficult decision to move away from DPD due to the abysmal service that we and our Customers received from them during the last 3 months of 2022. We experienced missed collections, collected items being held at our local depot for 24 hours and next day deliveries taking several days to be made, with absolutely no credible explanation as to why. You were obviously fortunate enough not to have been affected by these issues but the vast majority of our Customers were, which is why we have had to take decisive action. After such a long relationship we sincerely hope that you will continue to purchase your disposable gloves from us. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry that you are disappointed with your purchase. Unfortunately the GD21 product is no longer produced by the Manufacturer as this was one of the lines that was discontinued during the pandemic. The product is only visible on the website due to the fact that we have a limited amount of size Small still available for sale. Moving forward we suggest that you consider GN83 which is similar in its technical specification to the GD21 product. Please call us if you require further guidance. From the Glove Store team.

The Blue Disposable Polythene Long Arm Gauntlets that you purchased from us are only manufactured in one size and we have not been made aware of any adverse issues with them previously. There are alternative Gauntlets available on the website which may better suit your requirements, and we would be pleased to give you guidance if you let us know exactly what task you are using the product for. “I have no doubt about the quality of the products or the service. That aside having bought from this store a year or two pre pandemic, I have seen prices sky rocket beyond belief. Obviously demand fuels supply prices, and The Glove Store has capitalised on this. They are no longer my go to store for purchasing gloves. My recent purchase with the TGS was because of an unfulfilled order elsewhere and I needed to purchase a supply- fast. Looking forward this buys me time to shop around for sellers whose prices are more reasonable.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your comments regarding price increases are perfectly valid but it is important to note that you paid 35p less for each box of the GL895 product in February 2021 compared to your previous order in December 2020. There are many factors which have driven increases in the price of disposable gloves over the past year, but primarily we have been in a situation where the requirement for these products across the World has increased to unprecedented levels and demand continues to far exceed production capacity. All disposable gloves are manufactured in factories in the Far East and they are simply not able to produce enough product to fulfil orders. As a result they are able to inflate prices and sell to the highest bidder. Demand from the US market in particular has been insatiable. In addition to the above, Global shipping costs have skyrocketed due to a shortage of containers. The average cost of shipping a 40ft container from Asia to Northern Europe (including UK) has risen from $1,752 last February to more than $8,000 at the beginning of March 21. We recognise that regular price increases are never welcome but we have no choice but to pass on these manufacturers increases and additional shipping costs to our Customers if we want to remain in Business. We will of course look to reduce prices to a more palatable level as the situation in the supply chain returns to a position of normality and as mentioned above, you have already benefited from a small price decrease on your recent order. I hope that you now understand the full position and I would ask that you reconsider your 3 Star Review particularly as you have praised our overall service.

Hi Jack Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As you correctly identify there has been a significant increase in the price of the GD45 Latex Glove product since you last purchased it from us in July 2019. We thought it would be helpful if we explained why this is the case. All disposable gloves without exception are manufactured in factories in the Far East (the GD45 product is produced in Vietnam). As the requirement for these products has increased to an unprecedented level over the past 6 months, we are in a situation where demand far exceeds production capacity. This has led to well documented shortages of PPE and massive price increases as the relatively small number of manufacturers in the Far East are able to charge inflated prices. There is simply nowhere else for suppliers like us to source these products. We have seen substantial price increases every month since March 2020, and we have been informed that this trend is likely to continue for at least the next 6 months as the World deals with the second wave of this dreadful virus. We also anticipate further stock shortages in the months ahead. We recognize that regular price increases are never welcome but given the explanation above we have no choice but to pass on these manufacturers increases to our Customers if we want to remain in Business. We will of course look to reduce prices to a more palatable level as the situation in the supply chain returns to a position of normality. I hope that you now understand the full position, and I would ask that you reconsider your 1 Star review particularly as you have praised the speed of delivery. “I have been a customer of the glove store for nearly two years (well before the average person even new what a corona virus was) I have seen their prices skyrocket since lockdown. A pandemic is advantageous for some.”

“I don’t really think this is a criticism of your company because I got what I ordered promptly. However I ordered LARGE because that was sufficient with gloves I had ordered from other companies but I couldn’t get your gloves on. I also realise that I would have preferred powdered gloves because when my hands are even vaguely sweaty the material doesn’t slide. I now have a box of gloves I can’t use. I wish there was some Universally accepted standard for glove sizes.”

“Not bad. Got what I needed. Gloves were superb. Needed these during my self isolation and after. It was the restricted delivery charge. I wasn't given alternative options. Would definitely recommend but ask for delivery to be reviewed.”

“Very prompt delivery. This is the second purchase made. The first was for medium size, but was a little smaller than I expected and shrank in the was. I therefor bought large ones this time and hope they will be more suitable.”
