“Sounds great on paper, 24h access, CCTV, and the units themselves are very good. I have been renting a unit for 8 months and unfortunately during this time my local site has been going more and more downhill. There have been people openly running businesses out of their units for a while, people using their units as a spot to hangout and drink with friends, and now there are units with door handles, not advertised on the website, that individuals appear to be living in. The site is never manned and management is responsive by phone but ultimately doesn't care at all. As a woman, it has become sometimes scary to visit my unit even in the middle of the day. In broad daylight, I have seen individuals trying the locks of other units and harrassing other customers. Again management doesn't want to know. I was planning to rent a second unit with Standby but will be taking my business elsewhere.”

Thank you for your review, and for being a customer over the past eight months — we're glad you rate the units, 24-hour access and CCTV, and we're genuinely sorry to hear the rest of your experience hasn't matched that. We do want to respectfully address some of the claims made. We've looked into these reports and found no evidence that anyone is living on site or operating outside the terms of their agreement - our units are rented by a wide range of customers who use them in different ways, and there are always two sides to every story. Everyone is welcome at our sites, providing they treat fellow customers and the premises with respect. That said, we take your comments about feeling unsafe very seriously - no customer should ever feel uncomfortable visiting their unit. While our sites are unmanned by design (which is what allows us to offer 24-hour access at the price we do), we will be increasing our monitoring of the site, reviewing CCTV footage, and following up on any behaviour that breaches our terms. If you ever witness anything concerning, please report it to us straight away with the date and time so we can review the footage and act on it. We'd be very sorry to lose your business, and we'd welcome the chance to talk this through directly.

“Renting a unit from Standby was incredibly easy., made all the easier by Glen Fisher .He was friendly , helpful , explained the details in a professional manner with the right amount of humour dropped in. Good service all round .”

“I am writing to give feedback on Michelle and team at the West Moseley branch. Michelle was extremely helpful (& patient) when I first took out storage. She has continued to provide straightforward guidance and has always been quick to respond to my queries. I would have no hesitation using this facility again.”

“A great facility, run by a friendly and helpful team, Any issues or questions are dealt with immediately. Great security and 24/7 access, Excellent service Everything works as it should and unit is in good condition. Remote call line immediately helpful when access code failed to work. “Hiya, I had contact with these storage. I bought painting hair, Nurofen pain fast for inflammation. Indeed it's just getting too expensive with the price of storage. Basically I had been reticent with Nurofen 256mg then 200mg because the first is more bit strong. These 🫙 contains Soda & Ibuprofen. The package ❄️🥶 Cold & Flu are well. Maxi Cold & Flu. Every time when I'm cold I resolved. They, helping any man. Only you must have confidence, after resolved come 🔙 back the pleaser to live.”

“Very good overall only the lights have been out for months now and we are having to keep cars running with lights on in the dark !! This is not good for the environment and for health and safety going to your lock up in the dark what if someone slips and trips and has an accident??”

“The security and staff are very good, although sometimes parking/access is difficult. However, pricing is very high and the latest price increase doesn't help this situation. So I will be looking for a more cost effective solution”
