“I recently ordered the lemon meringue cakes for my daughter's 16th birthday. We'd planned on getting a chocolate cake from a supermarket but a couple of days before her birthday she announced she wanted a lemon cake as its her favourite (this was news to us!). Wanting something a little more special than the standard small lemon cake you'd find in a supermarket I turned to Sponge. I arranged to have the cake delivered to my sister in laws and prayed it would arrive in time.
My sister in law had to nip out during the expected delivery time slot and of course this is when she received a notification that someone had been at her door. Arriving home she saw no sign of the cake. As soon as I was able to I checked my emails to see confirmation it had been delivered and left in a safe place of "over side gate." My sister in law then discovered the cake had been dropped over the gate in to her back garden (please see photo). Panic set in that the cake would be destroyed after being dropped a fair distance over the gate. To our surprise the cake was fully intact and throughly enjoyed by my daughter (who said "Best cake ever") and the rest of the family.
I've had cakes from Sponge before and they've always been absolutely spot on so I expected no less this time. What has absolutely amazed me is the sturdiness of the packaging! We were all incredibly impressed to see zero damage to the cake. Full credit to Sponge. Thank you!”

“Ordered an egg free cake for my daughter's birthday as my grandson has an egg allergy. Have used another company previously but felt that these were too highly priced so googled for an alternative. I was able to choose the cake flavour, the date for delivery and the price was much better than the other company. The cake arrived well boxed and packaged with instructions to ensure that it was left at room temperature for a while for the best taste. It was lovely. My daughter and my grandson both loved it. We will be back! We had the millionaires cake!”
