“I ordered two gluten free cakes. They looked superb, even though the box they were in was delivered upside down! The cakes are a little sugary for adults' taste, but make a good contribution to a partty.
One downside - the delivery (via Amazon services) arrived at 8:00 IN THE EVENING, while I was out of the house - so we spent time worrying that it wasn't going to turn up.”
“A really lovely little gift idea — I’ve sent it to a few people now, and every one of them has enjoyed the cake. I’d just suggest arranging for it to be delivered the day before, as it can sometimes arrive later in the day, which isn’t ideal when it’s for someone’s birthday.”

Thankfully it wasn’t affected by the extreme heatwave conditions either. Most importantly the cake I ordered ’Gluten Free Red Velvet Cake’ was absolutely delicious, it has lasted really well, two slices are in the freezer and there is still one slice to be enjoyed fresh a week after it was delivered. I did wished there were more types of extra small gift to chose from, but all in all very pleased with what I ordered from SPONGE.”
“The experience of buying from sponge is effortless and very easy, I knew what cake I wanted and purchased it quickly and without hassle. It arrived on the day I picked but the reason for the drop in a star was that the delivery person left it out in the open, not safe or out of sunlight, this is due to lazy couriers, Royal mail always leave my parcels safe and out of view but other courier companies just seem to drop and run.
The cake itself is delicious and so very moist, I had the white chocolate and raspberry one, in fact this is my 3rd of this flavour and most definitely my favourite, my birthday treat.
I recommend Sponge to all I know they sell the best cakes in my opinion.

“Cakes were good, as ever but suffered a little in the delivery as the delivery did not keep the cakes the right way up hence topping was damaged on a couple. Not sure how you can improve on this as drivers are under pressure to meet delivery targets.”
