“Sonarworks is one of the few tools I would not mix without. Even though I have pretty superb room and monitoring, once you learn to listen "Flat Flat", there is just that kind of trust you gain that you are not willing to sacrifice. Even thou I have encountered few hiccups sometimes (as you get with software) The support has been great and present and reliably fast. And what I have understood the near-future updates will be making everything even more right on the money! I highly recommend both headphone and speaker calibration with SoundReference ID. 6/5 !”

“After years of trial and error with the reflections in my studio, I pulled the trigger after an absolutely mind blowing trial period on the Sonarworks correction software and microphone. It shipped so quickly and in very sleek packaging, I got it setup and going in minutes. Going through the measurement process is incredibly easy because of the time alignment system used by Sonarworks to recognize the positioning of the mic in the room. “I purchased one of Sonarworks products a few weeks ago : Sound ID Reference for Headphones, after several months of hesitating. Easy process to get the educational license and order, I highly recommend Sonarworks shop and service. Nice user interface and user experience on the website. Easy to find all information I needed before and after the purchase. Once linked to your account, licenses are easy to manage, even between different OS and devices. Didn't even need to use the Support Centre yet. I will probably buy a license for Sound ID Reference for Speakers and Headphones soon. One thing I would recommend Sonarworks to do is to provide more Headphones options to bundle with software. Also, maybe the software could update itself without downloading an exe file with a browser.”

“Where do I start? The product sells itself. Period. Had Reference 4 Studio and now Sound ID, with mic and headphones. Moved from one state to another with teardowns and rebuilds. Whether you use to treat or not treat the room is your choice. Professionals will have fabulous results if they do. Flawless purchase process, download and install. Did I mention the quick responses with the company if you have to troubleshoot anything? Excellent! The product is a well-spent small investment and you will hear the difference. Hey, no one can help you make up your mind to purchase or not, only you and your studio are your answer to the question. All I can tell you is it made a great noticeable difference because if you treat a room and it's not exactly set up right, this product will make your room monitors work for you. Headphones monitoring or other monitors are on your screen to switch on the fly. Pleasing to the eye graphic, so many new features with the Sound ID are well done. When I start my computer/interfaces, all systems are working perfectly and not trying to stumble around getting the outputs going. I put this on my DAW as the last plugin of the chain, and switch it off during bouncing. If you are a serious mixer in the business, you always have to adjust your room monitors for true quality or you are fooling yourself or just excepting the low standards. Perhaps, maybe you have that perfect mix room by chance. Hard to believe without some tweaking...”

“hard to explain how good it is if you have not experienced it before. monitoring always is the most crucial part of the mixing and sadly enough mostly overlooked or ignored, probably due to the cost of acoustic measures to be taken in the work area. well, sonarworks does not fully fix this problem for you with their software BUT, and I cannot emphasize this enough, it improves the situation a lot. My acoustic environment (home studio with a professional history) was for sure not bulletproof before I started using it. Yes, I have invested in a good pair of monitors (using Focal Solo6 Be with a sub) and also improved my acoustics with some hofa bass traps and panels which lead to a good listening situation. Nevertheless, after installing SoundID and measuring at my listening position (the software for this is amazing as well!) the improvements were significant. Suddenly my mixes started to translate correctly basically everywhere. No matter if playing them back in the car, on my Hifi, over my earbuds, or anywhere really, I now understand what problems I was fighting in my mixes which actually were problems in my listening situation. All this compensation lead to strange-sounding mixes and lost translation on other speakers. I give this, especially for the price tag, a 10 out of 10. Happy customer here.”
