Everything was set up to be easy and affordable. The local village had a great bakery. The course was excellent, though quite intense emotionally - however, this wasn't compulsory, you could do as much or little as you liked. It was a nice bunch of people - both running it and participating.

I went on my first ever retreat and it was a Louise Hay "You cal heal your life" course at Wortley Hall, Sheffield. Although I already know quite bit about affirmation work, I was energized by the course and its attentive and kind facilitator. Mastery through repetition! The only reason why I only rate the course good has to do with the fact that Wortley Hall was having 4 weddings taking place during this August bankholiday weekend which led to some disturbance of some of the participants´peace and quiet in their room. There was also a little confusion as to where we should eat in Wortley Hall. The food was very good. Having said that, Wortley Hall is an interesting place to visit. It is a former manor house which has been converted into a multipurpose institution for workers by the mining unions some time last century. The gardens are lovely and were a great place to wander a little while digesting the emotions that this course will inevitably provoke in any participant.

Hi Klavs, thanks for the feedback - glad you loved the course! Yes, we have taken on board your comments about the weddings etc. If we use the venue again we'll make efforts to ensure that the bedrooms are separated from wedding parties etc. Thanks for flagging it up and see you in the New Year for our Tai Chi and Meditation weekend.
