Absolutely terrible service with no interest in putting things right - I Willa avoid at all cost in future! I ordered a drone which arrived quickly but had a faulty battery - Scan advised they could not replace just the battery so the whole package had to be returned. This was a Birthday present and I explained that but it didn’t make any difference. The item was returned and a replacement requested - this could not be provided until the item was confirmed as defective...this took a week and when it was confirmed they had no stock for a replacement. I had to request a refund and when this was processed the website showed that they now had stock! The delay in confirming the product was defective meant that I missed out - in contrast, their returns policy says you can return something if you don’t want it within 14 days and they’ll refund you - nothing about checking it! If Scan was a bit more flexible they could have issued a replacement as soon as the defective item had been posted back to them. Even when contacting their customer services they were polite but totally unhelpful. I am very disappointed at their lack of customer focus and empathy- at least I’ve learned my lesson...😢

Hi Gary, I can understand your frustration with the returns procedure but unfortunately with faulty products they have to be tested as the manufacturers will not accept non faulty products back. Unwanted goods don't need to be tested as they are coming back as unopened and unused items. The regulations allow us what is deemed to be a reasonable amount of time to resolve any returns. From researching previous cases this timeframe is generally up to 30 days. Of course we don't want to take this amount of time to resolve any return and try to keep our timeframe to 3-5 working days. Mostly we do keep in these timeframes but sometimes we do have busy periods and rmas can take a little longer. We are not able to just send out replacements without getting the original unit back as advised earlier we have to verify the item is faulty. This is not a question about the end user or anyone's ability to test a product but to merely ensure we are not getting non faulty products back, which unfortunately does happen. I received multiple failed components, and failed replacements for the original failed components. They spent more effort trying to deny the parts were faulty, and put the onus on the customer to 'prove' a piece of hardware was defective. If they had put this same effort into facilitating a return and replacement, the experience would have been completely different. I ended up driving to Bolton in person to try and get the experience behind me of having bought components through Scan. Another component was purchased here marked as new and unused, although it was refurbished. This was deceptive and I would warn people from buying from Scan in the future. I received good individual customer service from people in customer and tech support, but they were put in impossible situations by the quality of the products sold and a certain disbelief that anything sold through Scan must inherently be functioning and satisfactory. I also have made a written complaint, to which they have not responded or even acknowledged my dissatisfaction. You've lost a potential customer for life here.

Was very happy as had previously ordered the laptop elsewhere and spent a week chasing where it had gone order from scan at 16:34 and it arrived by 11am the next day no problems. Should have ordered from Scan in the first place as have used them before with no problems

I ordered a large hard drive from Scan a 10TB Western Digital drive. UI usually order off Amazon but they do not pack hard drives well at all. I decided to order from Scan who I had used a long time ago and the hard drive came in a protective box and in bubble wrap... the way it should be done :) Price was very cheap for a drive that size so I am extremely happy with the service and will definitely be using again soon. Just ordered a new motherboard for my computer. The buying & checkout process was easy and, as always, the item was delivered quickly by DPD. I've never had a problem with Scan, and have been dealt with capably by their support team for those I've had to send back. Thanks Scan - another happy customer.

User friendly website with great layout and interface for customer to search for items. Bought from Scan.co.uk twice and both times are fuss free and very easy. Shipping are fast and prompt, provided by DPD which is a good courier company. The only downside for me is that the delivery charges are not the cheapest. All in all, Scan is so much better than the other competitors.

I have used SCAN for many years and never been disappointed with their service or quality of their kit. My latest order (only a small expansion card) was ordered on Friday afternoon and arrived in my local collect point (over 300 miles away--Bolton to Deal) mid morning Saturday. Well done SCAN and DPS. Always my first port of call for PC matters.

Ordered a PCI-E ECU03 USB 3.1 gen 2 and it was delivered the next day as informed. 1 star dropped as a request for info relating to suitability for Ubuntu server 18.04 prior to ordering was not provided.

Good prices for a variety of things, cheaper than other sites at least for the monitor I bought (AOC Q3279VWFD8). The site is easy to navigate and had a variety of delivery options which overall made shopping here a good experience. The website also features live webchat and a phone number for help if needed which can be very helpful.
