“The experience was good, they came back to me pretty much straight away. The delivery process was as expected and the driver new what he was doing. The only downside is the container we have isn’t in very good condition. We’ve paid a lot of money for this so it’s a little disappointing. Ideally a few photos of what we were buying would have been helpful we just assumed it would be straight and in decent condition. There’s a lot of scammers out there and I was advised through a friend who does container storage to use them as I was worried about being scammed at the time.”

I can see that you have ordered an in house converted 10ft used container. “Overall content with purchase. Regrettably lock housing was damaged from previous movement/storage and so I cannot use the protective housing to lock the container and have to resort to a lock through the fastening bolts which is protected from the weather.”

“I have had 2 containers from S Jones, the first was in great condition, the second (most recent) has turned up in a not so good condition. List on the delivery list (3pm-6pm delievry), to be called at 5pm to say we cant delievry as its too dark-would it be possible to deliver the follwoing day)”

Hi Toby, Single trip units can sometimes carry the odd dent and scrape as they travel from the far east and this cannot be avoided. As discussed with you on the telephone, any dents that were apparent on your container does not impede its usage in anyway. “Generally the service was very good, Rachel and Sarah were very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately, the thing that we didn't find to helpful was the payment terms. We would have preferred to pay 30% on order Acknowledgement and 70% on delivery. Trust should go both ways and it would have been a very good gesture for S. Jones to allow us 30/70. Also., one of the containers has a small problem with one of the side doors, like the container is slightly twisted or deformed, it does open and close but it doesn't work as it should. we have notified Rachel & Sarah who said that someone shall visit the container to review and hopefully make suggestions to correct the Door opening and closing problem.”

Hi Paul, Thank you for your feedback. As promised, a member of our repair team will be visiting the site and hopefully rectify the door issue, apologies for this. With regards to payment terms, as a company we don't offer credit terms as most of the container industry is payment upfront. However, as a trading history is established this will always be looked at by the Accounts department but as this was the first order, we had no alternative to ask for our standard payment terms. “Delivery was a bit slower than expected but efficient delivery and offloading and a good container for the money. Padlock was left off the delivery but quickly sent by post.”
