About Relentless Microcement:

Richie and Sally, the founders of Relentless Interiors first identified a potential market for concrete interiors whilst they were renovating their own house back in 2015.

Having been inspired by the emerging concrete interiors trend, they we’re surprised to find that there were very few companies offering concrete products in the UK. After some extensive research, they discovered microcement and set about getting some training from a supplier in Spain.

Fortunately, Richie’s previous experience in concrete production, plastering and rendering meant he was well suited to the work involved. Sally, who’s background is in marketing, set about building the Relentless brand.

A few years on and the product offer has grown considerably to include concrete furniture, worktops, sinks, walls, floors and microcement supplies. Richie and Sally’s drive to constantly expand their offer and develop new products means they continue to stay in tune with interior & architectural trends.

The couple have built a reputation for having a genuine, helpful and friendly approach to industry professionals and homeowners alike.

“The overall result is far from perfect but as novices we did an ok job. To have 4 rooms done professionally we were quoted 9K, well out of reach for our budget so we took a risk and had a go with Relentless DIY kit which was affordable at under 2k. The videos are useful but there is too much emphasis on applying thin coats “listen for the scrape of the trowel” which resulted in the mesh pattern showing through in a few places on our kitchen floor. It’s a learning process and I’m pretty confident our hall will look great when we do it! The alternative was Lino so I’m glad we used Microcement.”

“I've not ordered full products so this is purely based on samples! Delivery was fast and items well packaged. Colour was true to what I saw on the website I think for the size of sample (about 4x4") it was a bit expensive, and you can't get a clear idea of texture across a large scale wall at that size. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering the product based on the sample alone. They have an office you can see but it's only open 9am-3pm so hard for working people to get to. But I'll let it slide as irs a small business!”

“As a microcement installer I found the material very user friendly unlike resin based materials that I'm used to, actually enjoyed my job for a change, a material and product that I'll defiantly be using again in the near future . I found the website great for point my clients to for looking at colours and ordering samples, taking a job off my hands and putting picking colours into the customers hands, all be it ill be ordering a colour chart soon. I did find tho the colour picked from the website, unfortunately was a fair whack different to the material itself, this I understand as a digital image v reality is totally different, however to help my customers who are maybe unaware of this it would be an idea to put that on the website somewhere, and that ordering the sample is the only real way to know what the colour will be. Tub sizes could be an issue as there was no middle ground, if I have a smaller job of say 11-12m2 I need to purchase enough material for 20, now having extra isn't a bad thing at times, but a 5kg option, or 1kg options would be good for those smaller jobs, essentially it helps keep costs as good as I can for customers, and helps my profits. Delivery was great, and came very well packaged. Lastly it was a company that just sold materials, wasn't claiming me as "their installer" or being involved waaay too much in my business, what I'm doing, or trying to be involved with my customer or the job............sold material, and left the rest up to my business weather thats good, bad or ugly. 4 stars as only used once, hope the above service continues and isn't a 1 off.”

“It’s a great product with a beautiful end result. It’s a lengthy process but worth it. Our only issue would be that we could only order the square footage in multiples of 10 when our floors were 4m2 and walls were 23m2 so we paid a lot for so much wastage (13m2 of unused paid for product)”

“From what I can see so far it is a good product and the team at relentless were always helpful when we called up with a question. I think the instructions could do with improvement. There is some slightly conflicting information in the video and in the pdf versions. Also, I would have hoped that the instructions were tailored to the kit you purchased rather than general ones. To remove the chance for confusion and uncertainty I would suggest providing specific instructions for the different kits.”

“We used a DIY bathroom kit and generally were quite happy with it. There could be higher quantity of materials in the kit as we were not able to fully cover 20m2 with the amount provided. Issues were with delivery - the package worth £500+ was left out in the rain by the bins without even a phone call by the courier, with which we were deeply disappointed.”

I asked a few questions in the chat on the website which still have not been answered, frustrating to offer a line of communication which says a question will be answered within a few minutes or you will receive an email and then nothing.”

“Completed our kitchen worktops and island with the DIY floor kit. Followed the instructions with the help of my father (who is boss at DIY). The results are beautiful. They would have be better next time but we are very happy. Resilient and holding its waterproofing and stain resistance very well after 9 months. We have managed a slight stain from some wood finishing wax that came off the bottom of a plant pot, other than that we have no staining. The how to's worked well. We achieved a finish that could not have been possible without spending 1000's for about 400 quid and maybe 10 man hours.”
