About Relentless Microcement:

Richie and Sally, the founders of Relentless Interiors first identified a potential market for concrete interiors whilst they were renovating their own house back in 2015.

Having been inspired by the emerging concrete interiors trend, they we’re surprised to find that there were very few companies offering concrete products in the UK. After some extensive research, they discovered microcement and set about getting some training from a supplier in Spain.

Fortunately, Richie’s previous experience in concrete production, plastering and rendering meant he was well suited to the work involved. Sally, who’s background is in marketing, set about building the Relentless brand.

A few years on and the product offer has grown considerably to include concrete furniture, worktops, sinks, walls, floors and microcement supplies. Richie and Sally’s drive to constantly expand their offer and develop new products means they continue to stay in tune with interior & architectural trends.

The couple have built a reputation for having a genuine, helpful and friendly approach to industry professionals and homeowners alike.

Massively regret! It looks absolutely awful to the point where we have decided to paint over it completely to try and cover it up. Would not recommend this product unless you use one of their professionals (even then I don't know how perfect it would turn out) We hired a concrete specialist and they struggled with his product and said how bad it was. They followed all the training videos to a T and it turned out looking dreadful, I couldn't stop crying I was so unhappy with it. They recommend doing over top of tile, this does not work. Again, our professional followed the video but you can still clearly see the tile underneath. He ended up doing 3 layers and they're still visible. I would say the videos and products are not clear at all. One of our products didn't even have a label on so we had to guess what it was, but the other products aren't super clear either on their labelling. The video's make it look like any DIY person can do this - I can't stress enough how much this is NOT a DIY product, the person we hired has 10+ years experience working with cement and struggled. Absolutely gutted how bad it turned out, I wish I read these reviews before as I can see a lot of people have had the same experience, I don't know if they're paying for all these 5 star reviews to outbalance all the negative. This product is not worth the price and the stress.

Awful product. Firstly, I’d say I’m a fairly competent DIYer, and have plastered and renovated most of our house. Wanted a seamless look so opted for this over tiles, but god do I regret it. This is definitely not a diy job, it requires multiple rounds of coats, firstly reinforcing with mesh, base, mid coat then top layer, then sealing and waterproofing. The sanding between coats creates a fine dust as you need to go to a fine 220 grit, although I wore a P3 mask and googles the fine dust caused a pretty bad chesty cough. Even with correct protection and ventilation this is ultra fine cement and hard to avoid getting it everywhere. The main issue though is how unforgiving the top coat is. Trying to sand out dints or scratches can discolour the finish and once that happens the only way to fix it is to start again and go over the top. This is the 3rd time I need to do this as the finish can be very patchy even though I followed the guide videos, and I need to buy more topcoat again to cover the marks. This is definitely a pro installation job. Check the microcement forum, there are a lot of people having issues with achieving a decent finish. Also worth noting that final sealed coat needs 2 weeks to cure before using, the process takes far too long and is not cost effective. Given the option again I would chose tiles.

I have been in the building trade for almost 40 years so thought this would be easy as I have plastering skills and high quality tools. It’s very easy to apply but impossible to leave perfect as it starts to drag if it’s been on for a few minutes.I thought that it was fine because the training video says to lightly sand, what a joke, the base coat is really hard and difficult to remove marks, unlike the video shows.I went onto the relentless website and ordered 10 silicon carbide sanding disc thinking that they were special.£15 for postage which would of fitted into an envelope and no difference to what I had.The drying time was more like 24 hours between coats and even longer on internal corner. The training video shows a finger being used on internal corners, please avoid this as it will damage your skin and leaves to much material on the surface. There is no information on how to clean up any spills.I have spent more time sanding than I would of totally tiling the area and that’s not including applying the stuff.Still have the sealer to apply and hoping that it will look better after but I doubt it.14 days after that it can be used as a shower, waste of time.I would definitely not use this again and wouldn’t recommend it,especially if you are a diy’er.

Colours are vary massively, the company after sales is very poor and do not like to admit any fault despite numerous others having the same issue

Be warned, Professionals Microcement Kit for Outdoor Surfaces does not state on the website data that is can be only be installed in temperatures over 12°C, which in the UK means it can't be applied for over half the year, although Relentless Microcement say they have laid it in temperatures of nearer normal cement of above 5°C, they gave no solid reasoning why it's data sheet states much higher. The technical support was a waste of time

Not feeling the £6 samples. Rip off considering it's a bit of board with paint on it. I've been scared off the brand by all the reviews regarsing colour match issues.

I suspect lot of these reviews are fake, they had google page but seem to have taken down due to the numerous negative reviews. I had same problem which most other negative reviews have echoed, incorrect colour but not willing to rectify. Shameless business and would stay away!!!

Colour completely off, be very careful of the colour advertised as what we received was completely off. Customer service is useless and their quality control is lacking. Waste of £400, would advise to go elsewhere.

I ordered two small sample kits of microcement. They were delivered, along with the full order of another customer which included 10 buckets of product and some other materials. They were not packaged on a pallet or anything and we’re just dumped in my patio while I wasn’t home. When I contacted Relentless the next day to tell them of the mistake I was told to be at home the same day so they could be collected, to print labels for the products (assuming I had a printer at home) and to package everything on a pallet (assuming I would just have a loose pallet lying around). Obviously the courier refused to take the loose items and what followed was more than a week of wrangling with Relentless customer service to try and get everything taken away. I had to deal with constant calls from courier companies, requests to be at home on days when I’d normally be in the office, and just really terrible customer service. After all of this, I was offered nothing but an email saying “sorry for the inconvenience”. Not even a discount on a future order or anything. To top it all off, of the samples I received one colour is fine, the other (Malta) looks absolutely nothing like the swatches in the Relentless sample book so I paid £69 for a kit to show how inconsistent the product is. The surface finish is fine but I don’t want to buy a product without knowing that the colour will match the samples. When I read google reviews I can see there is a consistent theme of product colours being wrong and Relentless refusing to correct it, which makes me very concerned at using their products going forward.

Please do not order from Relentless unless you want to run a pretty significant risk of ending up thousands of pounds out of pocket. In my case, they mixed up my order with someone else's and sent us both completely the wrong colour. Mine was applied by my installer before the error was identified, meaning I am now looking at a total bill of over £3k to get the correct colour applied. Relentless openly admitted that the mistake was theirs but refused to make any compensation. They pointed me to their (very possible illegal) T&Cs, which are deliberately worded to allow them to supply defective products with no real liability. My installer said that they made a similar mistake on another job he worked on, resulting in £12k of damage. If you read other reviews (I wish I had...) there's a repeated pattern of them supplying the wrong products, the wrong pigments, mislabelling samples etc etc and ALWAYS refusing liability. I think the Cemher product itself is probably good - Relentless are just the UK distributor, they don't manufacture it - which is why some of their reviews are good. But unfortunately they obviously run a very chaotic operation and employ inexperienced staff who don't understand the product. This means every order is essentially pot luck and often there would be no way of checking whether they'd sent you even remotely the right product until the installer is already applying it and charging you thousands to do so. The fact that their T&Cs deliberately attempt to limit their liability in situations in which they themselves are in breach of contract for supplying faulty products indicates to me that they are not operating in good faith. Personally I think they're bringing the Cemher brand into disrepute and that they should seek an alternative UK supplier.

Ordered the floor, spent hours laying it only to find out the wrong colour, after looking at the packaging they had stuck another sticker over the top of the previous one to hide the colour. We then got blamed that we had ordered the wrong one, after calling and finding out that their supplier was sending the wrong colour. They then sent a new colour to replace the old one, again... spending hours myself doing the floor to find out it's still wrong. I am now left with a floor and many waisted hours. Stay clear!

Not enough materials in kit which leads to you having to buy more and slowing down the stages of the process and costing way more money than the original price to make it worse the colour we had chosen was completely wrong once down it looked terrible and when pictures was sent we had no response just ignored. To solve this we went over this wrong colour with another colour as we was too far into the process now.we then had a satin finish coating which was dull didn’t make the floor look satin at all but we are just living with a floor we don’t like until we can afford to go over it in something else to make things worse we had read and been told the Microcement will harden fully in 28days however it had been months now and still marks very easily chair legs have made dints into the surface and don’t drop a fork that will mark too terrible product very disappointed would not want to go near this company again avoid

Their courier of choice failed to deliver my product then only gave me a partial refund. Not reimbursing me for the delivery. Essentially punishing me for their courier of choice not being bothered to deliver their product. Ps. I was home everyday they claimed their attempted delivery. Very poorly managed by relentless and I shouldn’t have to be out of pocket for someone else’s inability. Sent an email asking why I’m not being reimbursed their extortionate delivery cost and haven’t responded. I’ll be taking this up with citizens advise. I couldn’t recommend this company any less. Look elsewhere.

Absolutely disgusting you want to charge £125 for a video I completed project on my own using my experience in plastering and building know how product does what it says

Extremely disappointing. I was sent the wrong quantity of pigment which led to completely the wrong colour, completely at the companies fault. They replaced the product but I'm out of pocket over 600GBP in labour colour in rectifying their problem. There is no way I could have known they had made the mistake until the floor was laid. Be careful with this supplier, consider alternatives!

Avoid this company and micro cement at all costs , I had my kitchen worktops done and right from the start the product was terrible , it initially stained which Relentless tried to rectify but it actually made it look worse, 2 yrs on and the product has started to crack and has totally come away around the sink will be contacting trading standards.

Unfortunately I would advise to stay clear of this company entirely. The cehmer product is very poor and the aqua seal fails and water will get through. The product itself it very plastic looking. Even matt has a shine. The samples dont really Reflect the colour and the colours online look nothing like the samples so be wareX the samples are expensive as well a tiny peice of wood and they charge you £11 and delivery charge. You cannot see the colour on the size of sample. My entire bathroom was done after consultation of which products would be fine, albeit aqua seal was a must this just kept letting pin hole water through. First of all advised of faulty batch of sealer perhaps and this was after 3 re seals were done and a full re coat of colour, so then bought a new sealer for it to do the same things again twice in total 6 seals!!!. In the end the advice changed to not using that product in a bathroom but it was a poor show as this defeats the purpose of an aquasealer. And bare in mind when this company first started it didn’t offer a seperate product for bathrooms this came later so the advice was that it could be used in bathrooms initially and this changed when a new product came out. I used an approved installer who trained with relentless themselves and was praised by them on their website time and time again hence why I went with him. This was not poor workmanship its poor quality product I’m afraid. I was down £3000 and had to change brand and get my full bathroom done by another brand who i have had no issue with at all - same installer and my bathroom is now great. I would advise you to do your research and choose a resin based microcement even the look is much better not plastic at all and matte is matte. I had no bathroom for months whilst this saga continued and it was my only bathroom so avoid if you can!
