“Received the lamps , Cosmos which are lovely bit noticably different heights. Two more are being sent to find a pair so my review may well improve once issues are sorted out.”

“I ordered 2 pairs of lamp shades. You sent the incorrect colour in the smaller shades - which I have been able to use as it seemed such a bore to have to send them back. However - you ought to know that I ordered pink ribbon and you sent purple ribbon.”

Hi Amanda, I am sorry about the confusion, as explained this confusion was down to the fact that these shades had been uploaded onto our website with the wrong details for the tape. This should have read as "pinky purple" tape and has now been rectified but I appreciate this may have caused some confusion and made the description somewhat misleading. This is the only colour tape we do for this shade and matches the image shown on the website fairly accurately. The returns process is really easy if you do decide you would like to return these items, please let us know - Best, Pooky

“The lampshades I purchased are of very good quality. The shades on your web site are not lit. The addition of a light bulb results in loss of intensity of colour of the shade & does not give the effect I had hoped for. This is unfortunately why I far prefer to buy from stores. In my experience goods purchased on line are all too often disappointing.”

“The Web site and ordering process was fine, but courier performance very poor - parcel left outside number 5 even though courier reported leaving it number 12 ( and sent a photo of it on the wrong porch!), I had to search up the street to find it”

Sorry to hear about your poor delivery experience. We contract all of our deliveries to a third person, and we do take every care possible to use the best company but on occasion, often because of one particular driver, there is a problem. We cannot actually stop this happening, but we will always try our hardest to work with the couriers to put it right. Sorry you were unimpressed.

“The customer service was ok but my lamp was actually slightly discolored. I was told that the magenta of some of the glass lamps was not as strong, which is fine, but i was hoping to actually buy a second lamp at some point and i'm not sure if they will now be the same colour. Apart from this i love all the stock. Its a brilliant company but its just a shame about my particular experience.”

Ughhhh - we're sorry about that. None of our warehouse team are smokers so we think this may have come all the way from our supplier - but sorry we didn't spot it in our product check.

“I had a couple of lamps that needed shades & was delighted to find Pooky. Really impressed by the prices, & the free delivery meant that I could order quite a few to find the right ones. Unfortunately the styles I liked were either too big or too small. A 'medium' size option for all the shades would be great. Because I liked one large shade so much, I kept it & bought an Oka standard lamp base for it! Annoyingly, the fitting on the shade was outdated & wouldn't fit the more modern Oka fitting. So I managed to get someone to re-weld the internal fitting. It's a little bit wobbly. So... Great lampshades but more size options required, & modern fittings.”

“Liked the site, the product is of a good quality. BUT I ordered two matching shades and they're obviously from different dye batches. One looks a rusty orange to the naked eye and one just looks red. I was in a rush to get them up and thought the colour discrepancy was because i had bulbs of different wattage in my two lamps. When I looked more closely in daylight I could see they were slightly different colours but by then had torn off the protective cellophane. Disappointing that this wasn't picked up during packing - and indeed that colours vary.”

As i'm sure you know, ikat is a hand-loomed and hand-dyed fabric that is subject to inconsistencies, even on the same run of cloth.
