“Until earlier this year I had no complaints with Pensionlite, however, a few months ago I tried to login to your website only to find it was under construction. This reconstruction went on for weeks and now I am unable to log in to the new site. I had no notification this was going to happen and cannot avail of the service I am paying for!! Will you please advise on how I should access the website.”

Hi Noel, we are in the process of overhauling our secure website which is expected to be re-launched early next year. “At the time I discovered Pensionlite my own pension and savings were in a sorry state trough no fault of mine but more from the company I was with. Mike Shaw was very patient and helpful using his knowledge to guide me and my wife through some tough times. “Not a good time to ask for a review as since commencement of drawdown, the market has dipped and it has caused initial losses to my pension pot. Started drawdown on 25th April 2017 and to date have drawn down £17831 over the 22 months in total. Meanwhile, my pot had reduced by £29000 during December 2018, but it has since improved to £22000 reduction up to February 2019 which is just over £4000 more than I have actually drawn down. However, I remain faithful to the advised investments and realise that it is possible to move into positive territory in a very short time, hence my Pensionlite rating as GOOD. Have recently discussed the facts with Mike Shaw and am hoping the recent recovery continues. I will review the situation at the end of the tax year (April 2019) and am hoping that it will not be necessary to temporarily stop drawing down. I do have confidence in the advice that I am being given and am sticking with the current investments that have been advised.”

“My advisor had to work quite hard to convince me of the merits of drawdown. Having heard so many horror stories, he made it clear a) why they occurred and b) that not all drawdown policies are risky or dangerous. We negotiated my Pru drawdown policy to last a few years until I reach State Pension Age. After that, I can either carry on or try another option such as annuities. Fees are reasonable (perhaps because they aren't in London?!) and clearly spelled out. I trust Pensionlite completely.”
