“I placed an order for a pair of Loake Aldywch during the Black Friday sales, which offered a really good discount for almost all brands carried by Pediwear. The shoes were promptly delivered to my country, Singapore, in 3 days by DHL after confirmation of payment by Pediwear. I was also surprised by the nice gifts of a can of shoe polish and a shoe horn, a simple letter signed off by Pediwear, and a permanent discount for future purchase of Loake products from Pediwear. A little bummer though, was that the shoe box had a slight tear which I believed was already present before it was picked up for delivery by DHL. Given the price point of Loake 1880s, the pair I received was well constructed though with some blemishes, which I guess is fairly acceptable. Nevertheless, if I may suggest, Pediwear should consider inspecting the shoes (if it is not a current practice) before sending them out to be delivered as an additional level of quality check. This will be greatly appreciated by all customers, especially those who do not reside in the U.K. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for someone who is purchasing his first pair of good quality leather shoes. I will be glad to return to Pediwear for my next purchase.”

All of our footwear, including the boxes, are inspected prior to despatch and any torn or damaged box should be replaced. Of course, it is impossible to prevent all damage in transit - although such episodes are fortunately very rare. We are very sorry that on this occasion your box was damaged. Handmade footwear does sometimes contain small blemishes - due to the nature of the natural products used in their manufacture and the handmade manufacturing process. Loake produce very high-quality footwear for the price, and we check all footwear thoroughly prior to despatch. However, if the blemishes are causing concern we encourage customers to photograph them in the first instance, and of course, you can always return them if you do not consider them to be satisfactory. Please email us if you would like us to look into this any further for you.
