“Klipspringer have replaced the faulty item and replaced it with a new sensor - which is great. However there wasn’t any communication or option to have the item calibrated before it was despatched, this has now resulted in having to send the new sensor back to Klipspringer and prolonged the time thats it’s out of use. If/when temperature equipment or probes need to be replaced, it would make sense to ask the customer if the item requires calibration before it’s despatched.”

Many thanks for your review Greg. All feedback is welcome, good and bad! I am really sorry you feel that we let you down with our communication on this occasion. We certainly regularly review our processes to make sure we are acting in the best interests of our customer and giving the best service and advice so will take this up with our Service department. In your specific situation we last calibrated these sensors over a year ago and as such there was no valid UKAS cert for this particular sensor on our system. Therefore the assumption was that you were performing your own verification checks traceable to UKAS and that this would be the case for the replacement. Apologies again that our assumption was incorrect. We will of course calibrate these as quickly as possible and on top of the free collection service via Royal Mail, there will be no re-delivery charge of course.
