About Kakoa:

Kakoa the UK's biggest selection of vegan chocolate flavours.

Back in 2019 when Rich’s wife turned vegan he wanted to treat her with some chocolate but was left surprised with the lack of innovation and choice available.

He took matters into his own hands and made some vegan milk chocolates in his kitchen.

After a few months and with the help of his brother Michael KAKOA was born. The name KAKAO is German for cocoa (although with the O and A the wrong way round as we like to be different!), is a nod to the brothers German mother who was very supportive as the business grew.

Biodegradable packaging
When we started out, we made a promise that all our packaging would be 100% biodegradable. It still is and always will be.

UK’s biggest selection vegan chocolate flavours
Currently we have 19 flavours of vegan chocolate, the biggest in the UK. We believe plant based is the future of chocolate.

Award winning chocolate
We think our chocolate is epic but it’s nice when other people think the same. We are proud to have won our first Great Taste Award.

“I got two boxes of the 15 chocolate collection to give as additional christmas presents. I went for these chocolates because my sister had told me they were the best vegan chocolates she had ever had, and that praise proved true! The boxes I gave out were highly enjoyed by vegans and non-vegans, they had a variety of different tastes, where picky eaters like myself enjoyed the more basic options still being rich in taste and those who like a variety of different tastes were still amazed! I would absolutely buy these again for special events since they are so elegant and delicious!”

“Best vegan chocolates I have had. Such a great variety of flavours. Their white chocolate actually tastes like white chocolate. So good. And anything with caramel is absolutely divine. Doesn't taste like nuts or anything like that. Just creamy and sweet. The Trillionaire bite shortbread might have been the best thing I have ever had. Very much looking forward to those coming back around.”

“Unfortunately I can no longer eat dairy and I’ve found it so hard to find decent non-dairy chocolate. I have such a sweet tooth and have tried almost every plant based chocolate imaginable. Kakoa is right up there at the top! My partner bought me a box over the Christmas period and it really was such a treat. Absolutely gorgeous, decadent chocolates that are really luxurious. For once, I didn’t feel left out over Christmas when everyone else was tucking into tubs of chocolate. The biodegradable packaging is also really luxurious feeling with a taster card too. I’ve since bought myself a few bits from the sale and this will definitely be my go-to brand from now on. You honestly can’t tell these chocolates are plant based and they’re so rich, indulgent and delicious! Such a good range of flavours too. So delighted my partner stumbled across them and bought me a box! Thanks for making such an amazing chocolates for everyone to enjoy!”

“I immediately purchased a box of these as I was lucky enough to receive some as a Christmas gift, and needed more right away!
