I was able to work through the material quickly, but there was a huge amount of reading. I was disappointed at the lack of interactive material and video content. The presentation of material could be better.

Thank you for your feedback, Lee. The vast amount of our feedback suggests that we have the balance right for most people. But we'll certainly keep an eye on it.

Very enjoyable course but i would like to see the option of having a hard copy of the course material to reflect on. I do not believe this is currently an option for course attendees?

The course gave me a good overview of Health and Safety from the point of view of those responsible. I actually think this perspective is useful even for those who are not in executive or director positions. The quizzes were basic and obvious, so more scenarios could have been provided for the nuances to be better understood.

it was good, what would have made it better would be the slides were a video

Thank you for your feedback Sam, we appreciate it. We have just added a video to the hazard spotting section of that course in its latest update. We find that elsewhere, the setup we are currently using is more stable across the range of devices that people use to access the course.

Was good to study at own pace, in my own time. Would do more courses with HSQE.

Overall thought course was OK. Few points of feedback for consideration: 1. Some parts felt bit dated (e.g. HSE stats from 2016 and reference to CSR as opposed to ESG) 2. Hard to avoid with remote course but felt bit like death by powerpoint at times - definitely missed discussion / human interaction from doing course with others

Thank you for your feedback. The latest version of the course has been updated to reflect the most recent set of HSE statistics. (You were one of the last people to enrol on the previous version of the course.) With regards to CSR and ESG, we are required to cover CSR because it is what the approval body's syllabus specifies. Our Professional Head agrees that it would be beneficial to include ESG and he will make that proposal to the approval body for inclusion in the next update to their syllabus. Thank you once again. We appreciate your feedback.

All of the topics were covered logically. It would be helpful if the sources of statistics were quoted. It would also be nice to have downloadable overview sheets of each section particularly were process steps were identified (e.g incident investigation) as there is currently no way to refer back to the material without opening the slideshow 1 slide at a time.

Many thanks for your feedback. We will take that into account when we next review that course.

Very little interaction with the company, but the online course was simple to navigate and relevant to the assessments at the end of the modules.

Many thanks for your feedback. Rest assured that both our Customer Support and Tutor teams would have been on hand if ever you needed assistance from them.

The course is straightforward and gets you the certificate at the end. I think it could do with updating with some audio parts added and possibly add some videos.

Thank you Neil. We are in the process of adding a video case study to that course. It should be released within the next few weeks.

The course itself was full of information however became repetitive with the same type of slideshows. Some talking or mini videos may be beneficial to keep the interest with the course which will encourage better learning. I also didn't have any contact with my tutor until I sent in my final project assessment, some feedback may also be beneficial rather than just your grade.

Thank you for your feedback Donelle. We are about to release an update to that course with video content added. We are just finalising the approvals now.

The online course met the learning objective, however I found the presentation in terms of the number of power-point slides uninspiring. I found myself clicking through slides and simply glazing over. Felt presentation could have been more interactive.

The learning part of the course was good and well set out but the exam was not as a dyslexic man who relies on auto correct a lot I found the word substitution questions nearly impossible and had to guess them all as there was several answers that could have been right and asking for spacific words to get the questions was impossible for me you should think about changing these to proper questions this is a health and safety test not an English exam

Thank you Neil. We have designed the course to accommodate people with dyslexia as much as we can and it's great that you noticed that. Unfortunately the end of course questions are set by our awarding body and so we have no direct control over that aspect of the course. But you raised a very good point and we will feed that back to them.

I found the course ok, I have done this as a Face to Face course the first time I completed it. This worked well as a refresher and a means to complete the course to requalify

The courses were... OK. Most of them felt a bit cobbled together from presentations that were designed to be taught in person, which meant there were scattered blank slides; this was a bit disconcerting to start with. The content was all fine, really - in some places I felt it didn't go into enough depth or explanation but in general it was digestible. The biggest gripe I had, which really distracted me, was the generally poor spelling and grammar. It wasn't just one or two errors, either - there were typos and issues throughout the presentations. The whole lot was crying out for a proof-reader really. I know some people don't care about this sort of thing but for a professional service I thought it was quite poor. I would also really have liked a proper course document to download to keep alongside the notes I took, so I could go back and review the content - not just during the course, but afterwards as reference material. Overall though, it got through the material, and was a convenient way of engaging with the topics in this covid year. I'm not sure I'd be keen on doing much more online training though; physical books and guides (albeit with online assessments) are far easier to refer to, cross reference, make notes on and review.

Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured that the courses have been written especially for elearning and they have been thoroughly proof checked and assured by one, or more, external organisations, so there should not be any spelling errors in them. If you could let your tutor know where you think they are, we will get them checked out again. There should also not be any blank pages in the course. When that occurs, it is typically because (1) a weak internet connection meaning the pages do not download fully, or (2) using Internet Explorer (which is no longer supported by Microsoft) to view the course. But again, if you could let your tutor know where you encountered that, and what web browser you were using, we will get that checked out as well.

The course was ok as far as online courses go, a lot of spelling makes in the content and a lot of reading where I feel online courses need to cater for both visual and audible learners.

The content for the IOSH managing safely course was a slog! Essentially, it consisted of hundreds of slides from what appeared to be in an person delivery but without any interaction or video content. This made it very hard going. The general level of service was fine, but a better explanation of how the 'eLearning' course works would be a good idea, along with devising a more interactive and engaging experience.

Thank you for your feedback. I think what you are referring to is that we provide an extra 5 full courses with our managing safely as a bonus offer. If you do all the courses in the bundle (Asbestos Awareness, COSHH Awareness, Manual Handling Awareness, Fire Warden / Fire Marshal and Working at Heights Awareness) there is indeed a lot of information to get through. But the 5 additional courses are optional and so you do not need to do them if you do not want them. We have experimented with other ways to deliver the information. But the feedback we have received indicates that the majority of people (97%) prefer the delivery method that we use. We do regularly monitor the situation though, and if the numbers change significantly, we will look to do that.

Content was clear, suitable, and sufficient - albeit not exactly inspiring! Module 4 covering Health and Safety Law could have been covered in a more engaging way, especially when going through the different sections of HSWA, although worked though example were good. End of module exercises were good, and really helped apply the course to the learner's own situation. There were places where the content could have been more concise and perhaps more extensive and varied revision tools would improve this course.

HSQE is great in regards to information given for people that can read and absorb it all. For IOSH I think if it was a bit more interactive it would stick in your head a bit longer but cannot complain for the price paid. The smaller modules were perfect for their purpose. I haven't had feedback on my RA but have been to review so maybe some feedback before asking for feedback would be better. Thanks,

Many thanks for your feedback Tanisha. With regards the interactions, we try to get the balance right between incorporating interactive elements and the demands that they place on the device/internet connection that the student uses to access the course. We do keep that under constant review, and we do add more in when feedback suggests that it would be useful. With regards the feedback, our records show that we responded within an hour of the project being submitted. (Received at 0905hrs and feedback sent out at 1002hrs). We'll get the feedback resent, but it may be worth checking your junk folder in case it was directed there by your email software.
