We are a family owned and run online business based in the flat Lincolnshire Fens. Selling a wide selection of potted herbs and plants all year round. Our plants are all grown locally and are all individually hand selected by us for your order so that great care is taken to send out the best quality plants. All orders are picked within 24 hours of being dispatched, carefully packaged by hand and sent via a 24 delivery service to ensure that your plants are fresh on delivery to you. I ordered four sets of herbs. All were adequately packed but the rocket had barely sprouted and it really never took off

I have always ordered from Hetty’s herbs but this order was of poor quality. Many of the plants have died and the remaining ones are looking very sad, as they did when they arrived. Having questioned this and sent images, I was told they would be fine, which they aren’t. Very disappointed

Although the plants were very well packaged it took 12 days for them to reach me via DPD, by this time all except 2 of the 7 plants I ordered were rotten. Unfortunately they wouldn't replace them or refund me as I hadn't contacted them earlier to advise of non receipt. As I live on an Island I am well used to not receiving items at the stated time so there is no point chasing within a few days. Other companies have always replaced or refunded when items haven't arrived in good condition. As I'm out of pocket I won't be using again which I am disappointed about.

Unfortunately the 12 x trailing rosemary plants I ordered rotted and I’ve lost them all 😥

Unfortunately 6 out of 8 plants did not survive, I had replacements by they died too. Is it a bad batch?

Sadly all my herbs have died. Maybe I should have bought them in the spring. I haven't planted the lemongrass seeds yet.

Hi Judy, I'm sorry to hear that your herbs have died. I can see you received your order of herbs in mid-October. There are many factors, including the weather that may of have contributed to your herbs not growing. We are always more than happy to provide advice and help work out why plants may not be doing well for customers. If you would like to make contact please do as Hetty hope this experience won't put you off growing herbs in the future.

Everything arrived. Inside the box all was packed but in disarray, like the box had been thrown around. The Basil plants have not survived at all. The Lavender hasn't flowered and the Rosemary is slow. The Mint and Corriander have flourished. So not a good overall result.

Hi Peter, I'm sorry to hear that your parcel was in disarray, we do try our best with our packaging including arrows on the boxes but sometimes due to the frequency of handling on route this sometimes does happen. We've checked our correspondence and can't see that you have contacted us at the time to say there was a problem with the packaging or plants. Basil plants are temperamental to grow outside in the UK particularly in cooler areas. We are pleased to see that the Mint and Coriander have both flourished but we cannot see any record of sending you any Lavender or Rosemary. We do encourage any customers who are having problems to contact us as soon as possible so that we can help. Terrible customer service. I ordered the 20 mint plant selection box. I received 11 different varieties and the other 9 being duplicates. 2 of the plants also had mint rust, so the entire order has to be returned.

Hi, we are sorry that you feel you have received terrible customer service. You ordered a 20 mint collection which we state on the listing would include a minimum of 6 varieties, therefore you could receive 3 or more of some varieties, you were sent 11 varieties with 9 being duplicates so this does give a wide range of varieties and therefore exceeding what the listing states. We were not aware of any rust problems with any of your plants as we received no notification of this. Where there are problems with the condition of plants we encourage customers to contact us as soon as possible and send us photos. We did not receive your plants back so hope that they have are now growing into mature healthy plants. Plant arrived in poor condition having been packed and transported upside down. Reported and got an apology but poor. Not in a hurry to purchase again.

I'm very sorry that this happened to your package, unfortunately our plant packers made a mistake and the box was upside down, a rare case of human error. In our experience plants are quite robust and generally once planted out and with some tlc they do recover. We did offer that if this wan't the case to please send us some photos and we would replace all the plants for you. As we haven't heard from you we have assumed that the plants have overcome their journey of being upside. We hope you will consider giving Hetty's Herbs a second chance.
