Down To Earth is a multi-disciplined company offering specialist arboricultural contracting and consultancy throughout Kent and South East London.

Established in 1980 by Glenn Morris, and as one of the pioneering companies helping to establish the Arboricultural Association approved contractor scheme, we’ve grown into the largest tree contracting company in Kent securing an impressive array of clients in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

The successful merger with Greencut Horticulture in 2016 resulted in the creation of a large company that not only has the infrastructure to deal with any size job, but the modern back office systems that allow us to focus on a customer-centric model.

“The team doubled up on the day. There were four 'tree surgeons', so this meant the work was completed in just one day. They worked so hard and speedily. They arrived on time, got on with the job, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. It was certainly a pleasure to watch them in action. They tidied up before they left. We are most impressed and will use Down to Earth again. Good job!”

“Couldn't be happier with the job carried out, which took the team of two, longer than anticipated. Very courteous and understood what was required, also giving best advice on access issues to neighbouring properties. Have no hesitation in recommending. From the gentleman who came to evaluate the job ,the Ladies in the office who arranged dates etc, through to the guys who came to actually do the job-the approach was professional and polite, and the site was left clean and tidy-could not have been more pleased and would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to anyone. “We have experienced an emergency call out to deal with a tree that posed a potential hazard and we were delighted with the communication and swift attention to solve our problem. More recently Down to Earth conducted a tree survey on our property. The attendee was extremely courteous and the resulting report was highly detailed enabling us to select with confidence the areas needing priority. On this basis we would not hesitate to recommend this company. Ripley Arts Centre.”

“We have engaged DTET twice. They have completed a difficult technical job involving a climber shaping a large yew, and a much simpler job of uprooting a dead tree and a bush. Both jobs were carried out with maximum professional attention to the customer's requirements, and with great skill. They also clear up meticulously - a contrast to some other tradesmen! “End to End Quality Service from quote to completion of the work. At quotation stage, I was given the best advice for the trees which meant they actually did less work than I thought was needed, and saved me money. The back office were very efficient and friendly, and all work was clearly detailed in writing in advance of my accepting the quotation. All emails were followed up by telephone calls if I had not responded, but not in such a way that I felt pressurised. The Tree Surgeons arrived on time on the agreed date, and went through the work before they started, to ensure there was nothing ambiguous. Despite the sleet and the cold the team took their time on each tree and validated whether I was happy before they moved to the next tree and then comprehensively cleared up all wood and leaves, leaving my garden tidier than when they started. A very professional service, and although, I know there are cheaper companies, this is the second time we have used them as they really care about the trees and they do a really excellent professional job.”
