“The books are beautiful, cant deny that. But sadly it doesnt send to a lot of places. I live in PR and was excited when I saw my place in the check out list of states and region, but when I went to buy, it said it doesnt shipped to that country, so have to cancel everything. Just hope to see if soon another countries can have the same access.”

“I've been very upset with how the presales have been going. Even their most recent sale, directly after their site maintenance, their site wouldn't allow me to sign into my account and it struggled to add the item to my cart. It took me almost an hour to check out. Also, not having enough stock. Then the July 2023 book's sprayed edges for the adult subscription are concave and it distorted the image. I was told there was notthing wrong with it. Upon research, everyone who had recieves that book had a similar complaint. It was extremely disappointing given how expensive they are. They do offer good customer service most of the time. But I have been deeply disappointed with my experience as of late.”

“The books that Fairyloot offers are incredibly beautiful. However shipment for international customers and customer support are a real nightmare. I regulary have to pay for import tax twice (which they can't help you with). When I reportet a order as missing I was told they can't help me because "missing orders need to be reported within 30 days" even though fairyloot orders almost never arrive within this timeframe. I never had any of this issues with any other british bookseller (illumicrate, goldsboro, waterstones, forbidden planet).”

“I’m super glad Fairyloot are bringing out the YA book only option, so I won’t waste time telling you how much I disliked the bookish items that come with the full box. As for the books themselves…When I joined Fairyloot I expected books like that of KoTW often, and I feel like you’ve only really delivered that level of exceptional design with Daughter of The Moon Goddess since I joined in July. This book aside, the stencilled edges haven’t been too impressive when compared to that of other book subscriptions. Additionally, (you could put this down to personal taste) I absolutely despise the foil embossing on WHITE hardcovers, and feel like you need to do the foil on darker book designs. For example, the pink foil embossing on your Once Upon a Broken Heart ended up looking quite tacky, and I much preferred the Waterstones edition. I believe this is where the main concern is; that Waterstones can produce a better exclusive edition than Fairyloot. Delivery seems to run late quite often, but seems to be down to the bookish items, so I’m confident this will no longer be an issue when I switch the the book only option. Sorry to be so negative, but I have been considering ending my subscription with Fairyloot for a long time now, and you deserve to know why!”

“I used to enjoy their books choices and the customisations of the monthly books when I first started my subscription, but unfortunately it all seems very repetitive now and not very original. One positive note is that their customer support team has always been fantastic, but unfortunately this is shadowed by the few things that let them down. Their courier is Hermes, which is an awful courier as you cannot select to collect it from a locker or a parcel shop, so if you don’t work from home it’s very difficult to get the parcel. A friend of mine had to wait for 4 months to receive her monthly box! I hope that they will change this in the future and look into working with Royal Mail instead, as they are quicker and miles more reliable. The items in the box are just not great anymore, they feel very much like cheap Wish items that you could get for a fiver. I have been tempted to cancel my YA subscription, but I am still waiting for them to create the YA & Adult book only box; as this would be the best subscription to get, but unfortunately we still haven’t received an update for this. This is a very personal opinion, but definitely check for yourself if their subscriptions suit you.”

“Although your boxes are always beautiful and worth the wait, it is still no excuse for having an issue with almost every package I’ve received. Boxes are always late due to some excuse and honestly it’s irritating. Do better FairyLoot. Your boxes aren’t cheap and should come on time and you should plan ahead for mishaps to happen so the customer doesn’t have to suffer. Had to come back and adjust my review and I just received an email that my box is arriving late yet again. I will be canceling my account.”

“Every month there seems to be a reason why the package will be late or they are not able to include an item. For the amount of money spent on the subscription it surprises me that it is not managed better.”

“Boxes are great but shipping is always behind and poor communication. Also books are same as books in other boxes.”

“The shipping gives always problems. My boxes arrive always broken and they don't give another option of shipping. The boxes also are always late, they don't send me the tracking number most of the times. Again, no solutions. It is worth because of the special editions, just that.”
