While I am mostly happy with the product, the experience with the underfilled vials has really ruined the experience. Not only one of the vials was under the level, but when it was brought to the EPC's attention, we were persuaded that the levels were correct. After further investigation, we did manage to show that the levels were wrong. This means that when responding to us, the EPC representative either did not care enough to take a good look at the pictures or lied to us. Neither of those is part of the experience that I hoped to have.

Hi Oleksii, We are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with this product. As explained to you on our customer service emails, the ingredients you received are filled at the correct level of 2.5ml (some vials are even filled at higher levels). This leaves a visible "air" gap which is allowing for what's called "liquid expansion", something that all perfumes and perfume products will take into consideration as overfilling bottles may result in leakage during shipment and transportation. We indeed found through the pictures you sent that one vial out of the 60 you received was slightly under-filled (the difference in filling was quite minimal) and we did offer you a solution of replacement for this specific vial. We are sorry to hear this solution was not satisfying for you however, we are only able to replace faulty products or offer refund once returning unopened products. After analysing your request, we did not find the product we sent you was faulty. You can however always decide to return it if you would like :) Best wishes The EPC customer care team
I purchased the 1 to 1 bespoke perfume making class as a gift for my partner. Emmanuelle was lovely and the concept of "creating" your own scent is amazing, but I was sadly disappointed in the overall experience for the price of the session. At £900 for two people, I expected a far more bespoke experience, but we were told that because the entire session was only 1.5 hours long, we weren't able to choose individual scent notes. So, The first half of the session was just sniffing and labeling 11 very basic blended aromas - citrus, woodsy, floral, etc. My feeling is that most people who are paying this much for a private session would already be pretty familiar with the basic scent notes and therefore, the first 30 minutes wasn't very beneficial. Then, we were only able to build a perfum choosing from just those 11 blended aromas. Because the blended aromas consisted of multiple notes, you don't get the scents you truly want for your perfume. For example, I would have loved some rose or jasmine in my scent, but I couldn't put any floral in my bottle because the floral blend included a very heavy lavender (which I really dislike). Similarly, I love patchouli, but the chypre blend had far too much leather. There was a really sharp fruity blend overpowered by raspberry and sadly, no sweet blend to add to my perfume. I liked working with Emmanuelle, building the scent by weighing drops on the scale (simple but fun!), and naming the perfum, but in the end, this didn't feel like a luxurious or very personalised experience at all. I had such high expectations for creating a signature scent, but the perfume itself is just far too basic to ever wear. For £900, I feel there's a big disconnect in product vs. price. In hindsight, I would have booked the full day masterclass workshop. How to improve: Firstly, I think categorising this particular session under "bespoke" on the website should be changed as it looks like only the 1 to 1 with Em at £950 is truly bespoke. And although the description says that you're working with a custom blend, it doesn't make it clear that the blends are already chosen and pretty basic. I felt there should be more exciting options. Also, the website says the class is "up to 2 hours" however, the last 25 minutes was just waiting for the parfums to be bottled in the lab. I'm sure there are people who book this private class without any understanding of perfume at all, however, I think there must be a good percenage who are at least familiar. Spending 30 minutes sniffing and taking notes on generic blends was too long for me, personally, when you're paying for the time. I understand that its a 1.5 hour class, but I would have liked to be asked for my personal scent preferences and experience, so you could have customised the session more. With knowledge of my existing tastes, it would have been just as easy to have the those set aside for me to work with (they were all right next to us on the wall). Or even just to allow me to add a few notes in at the end of the blend could have helped - I was dying to ask for some! Again, at that price, I should have had access to all the scents I liked. It was also really difficult to book the session. Emails took some time to get back to in general. You can only book from morning until 4pm on a weekday, with very low availability in general. I couldn't get a Friday for months out. I think that when someone is paying so much for a 1.5 hour experience, the booking date/time should have been a lot more flexible. Both my partner and I had to take the afternoon off work to attend the session (and that was after months of waiting). I truly don't mind spending a lot of money on a luxury experience, so I'm really sorry to keep bringing up the price! But its simply because the experience just doesn't match the cost. On one of my previous calls to book the session, I was actually told by a staff member that the workshop was actually "much better" than the 1 to 1 because of the time spent, but I didn't believe it. Now, I wish I had. I had such a good time with Emmanuelle and I loved the bottle creation and the ambiance of the whole thing. I would honestly love to come back for a workshop, because I'm sure its really good, but I just can't justify paying more on top of this. I really appreciate Emmanuelle emailing for feedback, because I'm not sure I would have left this otherwise. I hope its helpful to maybe thinking about how to improve the classes. Thanks very much!

Hi Trish, Sorry to hear you have not enjoyed your experience to the level you expected. Unfortunately, you were not signed up to the Bespoke experience but to another experience called Le Petit Parfum (now discontinued) - a 1hr30 introduction session, less in-depth and "bespoke" than the bespoke session that you are describing. What you are describing in your review was unfortunately not available to you on this basis. Best wishes, The EPC Team
