Very short, not the full experience, felt rushed, and not the kind of personalized service I was expecting.

Hi Ahmed, Thank you for your feedback. You attended our complimentary blending consultation on Tuesday, 3rd September. During the booking process, we clearly outline the consultation through a step-by-step guide and video to set expectations for the experience. From our conversation, it seemed you were expecting a workshop or ingredient profiling session, where you could smell individual ingredients - however, this is different from what our blending consultation offers. Smelling numerous single ingredients can be overwhelming for an untrained nose and often leads to scent fatigue, which is why such sessions typically last 3-4 hours. Our staff still guided you through the consultation, explaining the difference between your expectations and the actual service. You were also shown our ingredient sets, which would have been a close alternative. We emphasise that this complimentary session is intended to showcase our concept, not to provide business advice. Our staff member took the time to explain key fragrance principles which are invaluable, and we’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We wish you the best of luck with the launch of your own fragrance brand. Best regards, Team EPC
Exeprimental Perfume Club sells perfume experiences that are clearly very well received by their customers, looking at the reviews here, but there is a huge caveat to this. If you buy one of their workshops, which I spent £350 on, it may or may not happen. So for reaons that I will explain you will be buying a workshop that MAY happen if you are lucky. I went into their shop in April this year to enquire about a special birthday gift for my partner. I was sold a half day apprecntice workshop and was told I needed to order it online. They didn't sell vouchers for workshops so I decided to buy their four boxes of raw scents that are used in that workshop for £190 to at least have somekind of phyical gift to give me loved one. We then booked our workshop online on the 2nd May, reserveing our spot for the 7th June. From the moment you book you are made abundantly aware of the following: - You have 14 days to cool off and get a refund - After 14 days workshops are non-refundable but the date can be changed - for the 15 days prior to your workshop, that date cannot be changed and is non-refundable All a bit harsh but I had no intention of cancelling so didn't give it too much thought. We don't live in London so we headed up the night before and stayed in a hotel. The morning of the workshop I went through emails from them to find the address and I found an email sent on Saturday 1st June. The subject of the email was "a note has been added to your order". The email looked like an invoice but it had the following hidden in it: "Unfortunately this workshop has not been booked enough, so we will need to cancel this date." I was shocked! I had missed this email but I had seen emails throughout the week subsewuent saying the following: 2nd June: "Your EPC Apprentice workshop is just around the corner! Your Apprentice Workshop at Experimental Perfume Club is just around the corner. ... When: 7 June 2024 13:30" Another email received on the 6th June, the day before the workshop: "Booking Reminder This is a reminder that your booking will take place on 7 June 2024, 13:30." In fact EPC has a pretty aggressive email marketing programme. In the short time since I singed up with them I have had 45 emails from them, so it's unsuprising I missed a message in small print anncouncing the cancellation. Adding to that the fact there were emails after the cancellation reminding me of my booking, and you can quickly see why I simply assumed that it was happening and took the trouble and expense to come to London. Now, here's the crack. As I said before you are reminded at numerous points during the customer journey that workshops are non-refundable, but buried deep in their T&Cs is the following statement: "We may have to suspend or cancel the supply of a Product: ...if the minimum capacity for a workshop is not reached (the minimum number of participants required for a workshop is 8 persons)" This is contradicted by this statement in the T&Cs though, which is clearly inaccurate and disonest and puts them in breach: "If the Products are workshops, we will deliver the workshops on the date set out in the order." Why is this dishonest? Well becuase the truth is that you are buying a qorkshop that will only happen if they manage to find 8 participants. Otherwise it will be cancelled. Perhaps this doesn't matter to some people, but I suspect most of their customers are buying these products linked to an occasion, whether it's a birthday, anniversary or prenuptual event. So disappointment, and boy did we feel disappointed and hard done by, is hard coded into the service. And with a minimum of 8 participants, I suspect this happens A LOT! So how did they deal with it? They offered me one of their other 45 minute experiences, unrelated to the £190 worth of product that I had bought, and completely different to the 3.5 hour one I had bought. Critically, they did not apologise in any of their corrsepondence until I suggested that this might be a good idea, to which I got a pretty gliab apology and an immediate refund. Given the impact on us, I found this pretty disgusting. I have requested to return the £190 worth of goods that I bought, which are now pretty useless, and they have ignored that request. Now they will probably respond this to say that they took all reasonable steps to inform me of the cancellations as per their obligations, and that's certainly ture. They also left a message on my answer phone 48 hours before the workshop itself, which I missed. But where's the care for the customer? They ruined the birthday and could not care less. it's cost me over £500 in wasted travel, etc which I won't be compnsated for. So make your own judgement. Personally I will be avoiding this company and I suspect they won't be round for long with this kind of attitude and business model. Your have been warned!

Dear Giuseppe, We are sorry to hear about the delays you have experienced with your parcel. As highlighted during our previous correspondence with you, the reason for the delay in sending your shipment was because we have been waiting to receive additional information from you in order to ship your parcel overseas (a normal process of any shipments to Italy). We did send several reminders emails to you, and once we received this information from you, we promptly shipped your parcel on the following day. As explained to you via our customer service, a delivery time of 2 weeks from the UK to Italy is not uncommon as customs clearance may sometimes take longer than expected, which is unfortunately outside of our control. We hope you will enjoy the product you will receive from us and will be happy to further assist you via our customer service should you need any further help. Love, The EPC team. Love, La squadra dell'EPC.
