What went well- transaction executed well with ability to work virtually. Even better if - communication of the conveyancing process was terrible. There was no clear explaination of the basic process steps, and where our purchase / sale was along this process (ie, what info was needed, what was complete and at what point decisions should be made). This meant we were always in the dark about what to expect. It’s crying out fox a basic process checklist to be communicated each week.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I’m pleased you were happy about certain elements of the service received. I have passed on details of areas suggested for improvement to our Conveyancing Team to see how improvements can be made. You should have received at the outset a detailed guide which talks you through the whole process and sets out the various steps although due to every transaction being unique we appreciate some transactions can deviate slightly. I can only apologise if you didn’t receive this. I know the team are always happy to provide any additional guidance upon request.

They was ok untill they threatened me two days before I got my keys demanding £1200 more than they should have or I wouldn't get my house. Never got an apology off them. Got emails to prove it

I was quite disappointed with the service we received. There were several delays caused by Elliot Mather and a lack or urgency throughout our house purchase process. When I raised the lack of urgency I also did not receive any response to this element of my email. We were charged an additional fee for the Help to Buy scheme, however on both occasions where the paperwork needed completing for this Elliot Mather completed it incorrectly. This also meant we didn’t complete on the day we had thought, and we weren’t even told. We found out by calling for an update. We then completed 2 working days later than planned, despite our deposit and mortgage money being in place.

Dreadful. Really, really awful experience. If you value your sanity do not go with this solicitor.
