John Delany Motors was established in 1980 and has grown to be the largest independent garage in Stockport. We service, repair and maintain any make or model of vehicle.

All of our technicians are fully skilled and highly trained and we take great care to ensure that every job we do, from a simple oil change to a major overhaul, is completed efficiently, economically and promptly.

I found John Delany to have excellent customer service. In addition the repair was completed competently and quickly after a timing belt failure and engine rebuild.

Honest and reliable. I’ve used John Delany Motors for the last 20 years at least. They always offer good, honest advice and their prices are very reasonable. If something needs doing urgently, they’ll always do their best to fit me in. Four cars in our household and I wouldn’t use any other garage.

Been going to John Delaney motors with my motor for the last 3 years brill service brill communication tell u everything they are doing and price popped this morning to get my plastic engine cover to get tightened up came out straight away and sorted it great place nothing is a problem for them plus they are so helpfull

I've used John Delanys for years and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. They always do a good job and importantly they are honest and fair, never pushing work that doesn't need doing. Recently I had an ongoing issue with my campervan, the staff went the extra mile to identify the issue and get it fixed, I think other garages would have walked away from the issue. Matt was particularly helpful keeping me updated at all times.

I needed a complete rear light cluster for my Lexus. I researched the part and got a price online for having it delivered and I would then need to get the part fitted. I also got a quote from John Delany's they were cheaper to supply the part and could fit it whilst I waited No brainer for me.

It was just that at my annual service I noticed the service book hadn't been stamped etc; I sorted that on the day. However the "Service Now" on the dash had also not been updated; I called in to get this done- not a problem except when I'd started to use the car for several errands... and it finally got on my nerves on each start-up! Sorted promptly when I called in. Ta1 Ron

Straight forward booking in website. They were able to get my van mot’d quickly & for a good price. You can’t ask for more than that! They came as a recommendation to me & I’ll happily pass them on as the same.

Great service from John Delaney. Initially just to fit tyres via Black Circles. Impressive knowledge of Reception staff and advice regarding Batteries and Suspension problems. Used again for MOT and service and pleasantly surprised by the bill. Vehicle returned cleaned at no extra cost. Definitely use again for next service and MOT. (And I don't normally like garages...)

J.D's did a pre-M.O.T check for me on my car. This was completed while I waited. Very quick and friendly service from the team. Would defo use them again. In fact my Dad needed an emergency repair on his car 2 weeks after me and he used J.D's on my recommendation.

I took my car to JDM having been told by another company that I would need a new heater matrix. JDM ran a check and said they would try and flush the system first. A new Matrix would cost £800 but they discovered that the flush had worked and would only cost me £60. Great service, honest and managed to save me £750!

I've been using John Delany's for about a decade now, with various cars, and the service has always been brilliant - I wouldn't go anywhere else. Great team of now familiar faces, always helpful and friendly, always communicative, and I've never felt like I've over-paid for work. A trustworthy garage that I would very highly recommend!
