“I have seen many people over the last few years looking for help with lower and upper back pain with little success. Feeling fairly despondent I visited Central Chiropractic Clinic and for the first time could feel an improvement. Following a number of visits the pain that I experienced is much improved and I can now see a more positive future. I would like to thank the team especially Maria for their help and encouragement. “Attention today due to ankle and foot pain. Without proper preparation I had neck and spine manipulation. There was no discussion around the potential risks around neck manipulation or about treatment being given My foot issue was addressed and some treatment given. In a lot of pain in neck now that wasn’t there before.”

Dear CW Thank you for making me aware of the discomfort you are experiencing following the examination and the treatment. Let me assure you that this is a very common and short-lived reaction to spinal manipulation the rationale and likelihood of which we discussed during the report of findings following physical examination and to which you gave your explicit consent. May I stress that the review you have put is somehow misleading as it implies you received treatment you did not consent to. It is an established routine practice to ask patients whether they are OK to proceed with each adjustment, especially during the initial treatment. While it is understandable for some people to feel overwhelmed during the initial consultation (and you confirmed that in the phone conversation we had on the following day), I struggle to understand why you didn't indicate that you were uncomfortable with the adjustment when were asked in the room. (and you were asked at least 3 times). While respect you're declining an appointment at no cost to address the neck ache and further treatment plan, I would suggest that you voice your opinion/doubt when asked directly rather than giving consent and expressing your misunderstanding publicly few hours later. “I have been attending Central Chiro for many years, originally I sought their help after frustration with NHS care and injury after incidents. Now I attend on a regular basis as a preventative and maintenance aswell as to tent to any new injuries. Maria has helped me in so many ways by helping me with clinical feedback for my GP which has lead to treatments, surgeries and diagnosis of conditions. I am without doubt that without Maria and Roy I would be hobbling about on sticks. This business and it's people could be the best thing about Coventry, I am not acutely sure that is an accolade but I do know, I would travel far to be seen here and always leave feeling aligned, ten foot tall and like my limbs are all connected to my brain until the next drama! Highly recommended and alot of my friends come here now too!”

““Great customer service, After months of visits to the GP with various symptoms and no real diagnosis, I was referred to Maria by a friend. Maria listened to me and explained what my problem was and after the 1st treatment I had some relief and then after a few more treatments over a few months I was sorted. They are really flexible at fitting you in when you need it, even if it's an emergency they do there best to get you seen asap which is exactly what I needed. I’ve recommended a few friends and colleagues visit Maria and none of them have been disappointed. Highly recommend a visit to see them!”

“The receptionist was very helpful and offered me an appointment the next day. I saw Maria who made me feel at ease immediately. She was professional and extremely knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem. I received my first treatment that day which gave me a great relief and was rebooked a few days later at a convenient time. All in all a very good experience and I would highly recommend this practice.”

“I was recommended to Maria many years ago. I had suffered a whiplash injury and the pain went all the way from my neck through to my lower back and worsened during cold or damp weather. After suffering for many months and thinking I would just have to live with it, I went to Maria on my friends advice but admit I was not hopeful. However, after just a few visits, I felt the pain decreasing and gradually everything started to loosen up. I was shocked at how ‘tight’ I had become from being tense because of the ongoing pain. After around 6 sessions, I was able to stop going and felt absolutely fine. Every now and then I get some pain or stiffness due to tension but a couple of visits to Maria and I’m right as rain again! Now I only have to go every few years! I think the last time I went recently it had been over 6 years since my last visit. I recommend everyone to Maria including my own grown up kids who also go when they need to. I can wholeheartedly recommend and wouldn’t consider going elsewhere:)”

“I was passed around G.P for 5 weeks and trips to A&E and they couldn't see what was wrong with my back. 1 visit to a lovely lady chiropractor and x-ray later and she diagnoses me and wrote a letter for A&E. “Attended this clinic with my father, for his ongoing back pain. I am completely baffled as to why customers are singing Maria`s praises regarding this money grabbing clinic. Maria was abrupt, short tempered, sarcastic and very unprofessional and really needs to question her non-existent personality. Roy on reception needs to book himself on a life long customer service course. Manners cost nothing and a smile goes a long way. There is only one word to sum up this clinic. "Once bitten, twice shy"!”

As a business, we always value the feedback from the patients, especially the one which highlights potential weaknesses and helps us to improve the standards of care for others. I am very sorry your experience of the clinic fell short of the expectations and am extremely grateful for your constructive suggestions. I must have been preoccupied with giving care to your parent and completely misjudged your state which found its reflection in the review. As to the monetary side you mentioned - we are the only chiropractic clinic in Coventry that doesn't practice booking patients for the "treatment plan" of multiple sessions on the first visit. . The progress of each case is reassessed constantly during each appointment thus making treatment course a lot shorter in comparison to other clinics. We also include multiple treatment modalities in the price of the same session (such as K-laser) rather than getting patients to come for a separate appointment thus further reducing the cost of treatment so more people can benefit from the care. Again - thank you for the feedback which would enable us as a clinic to provide better care for other patients. With gratitude Maria
