Incorrect listing on website for short nose crank seal which lead to me having to order again and pay twice. Also ordered cam belt kit, waited 2 weeks and was still not in stock searched around and found d the same kit £35 cheaper

Hi Andrew, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Also, Thank you for raising that our listing for the Crankshaft Oil Seal Front Genuine for Mazda MX-5 90-05 is not correct since your car is a 90's Import and falls within the short nose crank years. This has been raised to the team to get updated appropriately. Our deepest apologies for the delay on the Gates Powergrip Timing belt kit ordered on the 24th Nov, I can see that on this occasion the item has been cancelled and refunded as requested. The rest of the order had been dispatched for you promptly on the 1st of December. While we can't directly comment on the product that you purchased as an alternative to our Gates offering, we can advise that we do pride ourselves on maintaining competitive pricing. We would urge you to review the product and if it is indeed the same please feedback to us at your earliest convenience for us to review. We hope you will try us again in future so that you can see how your comments help us to improve as a business.

Ordered a momo steering wheel shown in stock with 2/3 day delivery 8 days later still no wheel for the trip I wanted it for when I phoned I was told I could wait for it or change my order. Left on Thursday for my trip and the wheel turned up on a Saturday 10 days later after the order was placed. Paid for 24hr express delivery didn’t even have the money returned for it or something nice added to the order. I have ordered off you before and I probably will again but would like a better service in the further future

Hi Matthew Thank you for your time on the call today, as discussed we do our best to display accurate leadtimes on special order products, with this item we were showing a usually ships in 3 days, with our dispatch date of the 29th. We did unfortunately miss that dispatch date, and we dispatched late on the 31st, 1 hour after we received the item from the supplier. We are looking at how we can best communicate leadtimes on special order products and automate the average for each brand / vendor - this gives a pretty reliable date range, but with the bank holiday that added further delays. We're glad you love the product and look forward to speaking to you in the future. Best of luck with the project.

I have had mixed experiences with Bofi, some with incredibly quick postage and great service, and some with terrible postage and questionable service. My recent order has been extremely frustrating and has left me without parts for a track day. I find it very frustrating that Bofi doesn't offer free postage after a certain amount is spent as I've spent a decent amount of money here before and never got free postage, feels like they have fallen behind here. This brings me to another point, an order is held until everything is in stock before it is posted, I would say given the postage goes up with every item added I assume suggesting... I am paying for postage on each item... it is arguable that if requested the items in stock should be dispatched especially after paying for "24 hour" postage and it still takes a week to arrive. All in all from here unfortunately I think I will try to use Bofi as a last resort.

Thank you for your Order Josh, we’re sorry that you have had a poor experience. We’ve reviewed your order and can see that what let you down here was our expected lead-time on a couple of items. These proved to be delayed considerably from the manufacturer. Provided the lead time was held to, your order would have dispatched by the displayed dispatch date at checkout, as we didn’t get an updated eta from the supplier the system doesn’t provide further updates. We are going to change the system to update you of the overdue scenario and highlight the need to contact our customer service team if you have an urgent need. On the point of shipping, there are both packaging, handling and shipping costs involved - we work with couriers to offer as many options at different price points and pass those costs on direct to the customer at our reduced rates. We often have either free shipping or a discount on an order as an option, in this instance you did have a discount on your order which was greater than the value of multiple shipments. As a business rule, we cannot bear the cost of shipping for all orders, or even orders over x value, while also remaining price competitive at a product level.What we will do, is offer partial shipments where it is reasonable to do so as agreed with the customer, if no discount has been applied. With respect to the technical aspect of the shipping costs, you are paying for a programmatically larger box, not a box / shipment per item. One of the benefits of our offering is that you can purchase such a wide array of products and they all fit in the same box, offering huge savings in shipping if you were to purchase the items from various vendors. In some cases, the shipping works out to be multiple boxes and in that case we will without question offer a partial shipment after a conversation. (Most customers do not like orders to be partially shipped without prior agreement from our testing). On your point about the questionable service, from our email and phone logs, we do believe we’ve done everything we reasonably can to remedy the situation, removing the products that were not available, and shipping out what was there, and upgrading your shipping option from your chosen service to a faster service free of charge. Our takeaways from this experience mirrors a discussion we have already been having which centres around more initial investment in urgent service items for the more aftermarket brands we offer. We do carry good stocks of upgrade and performance parts which are great alternatives, but the aftermarket parts in question we are making a considered approach to stocking. As a general rule, provided everything is showing in stock, the dispatch date on our website will be correct and depending on the time of day, will be on a same-day dispatch. We hope you choose to use us again in the future, and wish you the best with your project.
