I really like this software. The only thing it misses are occasional tap in putts. I think it’s a helpful tool that I’m better for using.

I’ve been using the sensors now for about two years and they are really nice. Only issue is when I use my link some shots can be missed during a round but I always stay on top of my shots during my game so it’s not a huge deal. All I all i enjoy the feedback and stats and will keep using this system for a long time.

Useful tool for tracking shots, but putts do not always register. Have to monitor during the round, can be distracting.

I am happy I decided to go with Arccos. It doesn't work perfectly, but that would be a lot to ask in my opinion. Using the Link Pro has helped tremendously with watch battery life and the charging case is awesome. I really value the insights to my play following the rounds. I do have to go back after a round and do some edits, but most of the time, it's pretty accurate. I don't look at my phone after every shot or hole as I want to keep focused on the task at hand which is playing golf. The most edit time is spent on penalties and putts if I forget to establish the hole location with the Link Pro. I have learned to tap any gimmie putts when the ball get's rolled back to me. The yardages and caddie recommendations have helped my game out quite a bit. I would say the recommendations are right much more frequently than my ego is. Overall, I think Arccos is a really nice product, but if you want the best experience you need to invest in the Link Pro.

Arccos is not perfect and probably that is an unrealistic expectation based on the technology. Plus the human factor can contribute inaccuracies such as inadvertently hitting your club on something. That said, I find Arccos to be very useful and a nice tool for an amateur golfer. It is great that you don’t have to worry about tracking your score on every hole. Also it is great that you can go back and review each hole to re-live the good and the bad. One other very helpful feature is the club data. Extremely helpful to know your average club distances which are updated constantly to reflect current levels. This is used by your virtual caddy to give you club recommendations. I don’t always use the recommended club but it is a great starting point. Lastly, Arccos provides a lot of useful data such as #fairways hit, GIRs, # putts and strokes gained analysis. The only downside, and again I think this is to be expected, you must review your Arccos scoring after each hole to ensure all strokes were recorded accurately. Overall, Arccos has been a positive experience for me and I plan to use it from now on.

Very helpful with averages n percentages. Yardages r accurate and club recommendations are great. Proper putt tracking is cumbersome and usually needs review n pin setting. Takes you out of the game n into ur phone. Not Ideal!

I recently changed drivers, what I thought would be nice to have is a comparison from one point to another or if you try a different club, a comparison.between old and new. I find myself writing down the distances of each club to see if the new club does anything better. I don’t hit the Calloway smoke as far as the Sim2 Max but my accuracy has improved a lot.

Has helped my game tremendously! Fairly accurate. Service when needed was excellent. Only issue is it is very difficult to try and go back and edit holes. Always reverts back to the hole you are on. Bottom line love it.

Love my Arccos, I use the Link and although it may miss a shot or two per round, it does great!! If you want/need to shave some strokes off your game, the stats are amazing and will tell you exactly what to work on to improve your game!!

Service folks have been great. Systems works great majority of the time. Love all the stats. Wish they would give you more wedge club options like 46*, etc. misses shots occasionally. Can't play without it. And now my wife started using it too.

I would like to be able to delete the entire round with to 2 or 3 key strokes. Some rounds , I will hit 3 or 4 balls on several holes and end the round.

It works really well. I much prefer the Link Gen 2 over a cell phone in my pocket. Occasionally would pick up a “shot” when I was putting clubs back in my bag from the previous hole, but a quick check and delete was very easy. Battery life isn’t great, usually only 1 round per charge. The Arccos app is outstanding. I love the data it provides and provides the truth data from your game. Would love to see the GIR, fairways hit, etc be able to transfer to GHIN app. Would also love to see a practice round mode that would collect all the shots taken within a round.

The biggest problem I have had has been losing sensors (screw in)from regular use, but Arccos is willing to send replacements should that happen. I have lost 5 this year and have received replacements for all of them. I have found that Golf Pride MCC+4 grips hold them well. I assembled some clubs with a variety of grips to figure out which ones I liked the most and one of those grips is the golf pride grip I have mentioned and it has held this sensor without issue for over 100 rounds. It’s still advisable to check the sensor before each shot. The other is missed or additional shots or putting them in there based on the app assuming you two putt and didn’t drain an 80 yard pitch (I was so bummed not to see this in my “Top Shots” since it was my longer hole out and second eagle). I try my hardest to not pay attention to my score during the round (you can hide it) but you have to be willing to go into the app and double check your scores on past holes, otherwise, you may end up with an inaccurate score. I have recently had an update on my iPhone so yardages take a little bit to adjust. I have found that I need to stand at the ball, look at the yardage on my Lock Screen and sometimes open the app, to confirm the provided distance is accurate. Other issues that I have are likely a user error as I don’t want to use my phone for anything other than listening to music and getting yardage information, while I’m playing. There are likely other metrics that could be better but for this 17hc what is there is perfectly fine, but as I improve, I hope the offerings improve as well.

The biggest issue I have is with the missed shots. Editing the round is time consuming and requires taking notes.

Recommended club function excellent. Editing function awkward. Overall system is excellent and brings the player into reality with club distances.

I’d say the entire system works really well. My only very minor complaint is that at times I wish the battery life was longer. I often play 36 holes and the link will not last that long. Otherwise, I have gained a lot of information and dropped my handicap accordingly.

I love to keep golf stats, and two years ago as I was recovering from shoulder and bicep surgery I set a goal to get back to scratch (it’s been a looong while). But just the data gathering during and after every round was eating up so much time and it wasn’t giving me as much actionable information as I hoped. Manually doing strokes gained calculations required even more time and more data than I had, so I tried a few online apps to track my game, but found myself doing a lot of on-course data entry still. Then I read about ARCCOS and took advantage of a first time buyer promotion and bought a full set of the Smoke sensors. I am now completely hooked. After about a month of keeping my phone in my front pocket, I found a deal on the Gen 2 Link Pro, and it made a huge comfort level change - compared to my phone the Link Pro is super lightweight and is more accurate and timely than my phone. My only real ‘complaint’ is that I’m still trying to get the flag location feature to work consistently so the proximity and putts register properly, but it is very easy to go in and move the flag location on the app. Like any GPS tool, and motion triggered sensor system, I need to do a little editing at the end of each round to make sure I didn’t record an extra putt (or enough putts), especially if I try it again or it’s a match and I’m told I can pick up. You also have to add in penalty strokes if you have them. It never takes me more than a couple of minutes to make sure everything is correct or fix positions add/remove strokes. The payoff is in the details and analysis afterwards! When started the summer I was between a 7 and 8 Hcp. Utilizing the SG data against a scratch golfer (my goal), I’m able to see trends from round to round, or as far back as the start of the season, track the effect of drills, focus my range sessions and rounds, see where I need to improve and where I can maintain so I’m using my limited time productively. And I love the caddy features - I can calculate cover yardages on the fly, and the club carry data means I’m not over inflating my range (that’s been humbling, but it is saving me strokes!). Utilizing the SG data, the yardage and caddy features, and structuring my practice sessions and drills, my handicap is down to 2.6. ARCCOS might seem a little expensive, but the sensor and Link bundles are less than the cost of just about any club in my bag, and I can say the time saved doing manual data collection and analysis is worth the cost alone. When you start to see how it helps you focus on key areas of your game and help you become a better all-around player, it is a no-brainer investment. Highly recommend ARCCOS to any golfer who wants to better understand and efficiently improve their game!

The biggest problem I have is that the system adds putts. Normally about 10. I have to go back later and adjust to get my correct score. I sync with my Apple Watch

I an using the Arccos ap on my cell phone and it does not record all of my shots accuratly. Considering the purchase of the Arccos device that records shots but not sure it will work better and I think data needs to be downloaded to. omouter for viewing?

For the most part it’s a great system. Many of the issues people report are either shared by competitors (occasional missed shot), or they just have the wrong expectations going in. If you really want the results to be more than casual you have to be willing to spend a bit of time post round verifying and cleaning up holes. That being said, for me there are some “quality of life” changes that would make the experience even better and likely change my review to 5 stars. First while playing the pin is often already set which is frustrating as often it was not set in the right place. This is easily fixed by allowing each user to set the pin on their own, if they forget to then assign the location or just leave it centered. Second, there’s no way to designate a shot as being “directional”. This in my experience really throws off the approach data and makes it hard to trust/use. This has an easy solution as well, similar to the “mark as chip” function for putts off the green, allow me to tag a shot as directional and by doing so exclude it from the approach algorithm. Lastly many par 4 holes require an iron off the tee, either for a dog leg, hazard, etc. The “drive” stat relies heavily on distance, which similar to the approach stat results in a stat that’s hard to put trust in. This scenario is a bit trickier to solve as strategy is hard to account for, but you could exclude non driver shots from the “distance” portion of the calculation but still use them from an accuracy standpoint. In summary the system really struggles to adapt to your course strategy and will often punish you for making the right choice. Some of it can be fixed post round, but it’s definitely a limitation that other systems have seemed to handle better. I love the system from a tracking aspect and it pairs really well with my Apple Watch, I would just like to see a few tweaks to really complete, and increase the value of it.
