“I love the style and the quality of the bag, but I have one practical issue with the flap. My bag is frequently full, and the expansion it provides is great. The flap over the top does not cover the cover the expanded part of the bag, which ment when i get caught in tge rain on my commute this bit has no protection.”

“I really wanted to love the Alemi Ida bag, but it was disappointing in person. The design is cute, but the bag is surprisingly heavy on its own so adding a laptop (even a MacBook Air), a journal, makeup bag, charger, and other essentials made it uncomfortably weighty. The material is also extremely stiff, which caused the bag to bend awkwardly when filled. The handles stand straight up and make it difficult to access anything inside, and the straps dug into my shoulder. As other reviewers mentioned, there’s no security clasp or magnetic closure, which feels like an odd oversight since Alemi includes this feature on other bags. It would have made a big difference. In the end, while the leather quality was great, I returned it because it was simply too heavy, stiff, and uncomfortable for practical, everyday use.”

Result: to celebrate my pregnancy, and because I waited so long, I ended up getting two! I chose the Helvetia and the Viadukt Work, and honestly, the quality is exceptional.
