I had an amazing time, with a fantastic group of new friends. Seen some incredible places and very happy with most of my experience. Most of the tour was well organised, but there was often a lack of communication surrounding the itinerary that I did struggle with. It would have been helpful to have more information about the day aheads plans, and I often felt I was asking about this and not getting a clear answer. There was also a lack of recommendations when asking for advice about an area, especially when in Vietnam, I felt the local tour guides didn’t provide much information about their areas, other than Alan in Ho chi who was amazing. Special thanks to Sophan in Cambodia who was our guide, he was amazing, passionate and took me on a solo tour in Siem reap when I missed it due to food poisoning. The itinerary in Vietnam and Cambodia had everything I wanted to do, and the pace of it was fast but great. In Thailand a lot of activities were not included and there was a lot more free time. The snorkel trip we had to pay for in Koh Tao, which I think should be included. The tour in South Thailand was also too fast and would have benefited from going to less islands but spending more time in these. We arrived in Ko Tao after an overnight bus, then left the next morning which was pretty crazy. Patrick, our tour guide was lovely but at times came across as being slightly rude when people asked questions and he seemed as if he didn’t have much interest in being there. When an incident also occurred that affected the health and safety of a member of the group he was very poor at managing this and acted with little empathy. I appreciate it was a very difficult situation, but if this was not handled by myself and another member of the group I am unsure of what would have happened. Overall, I had an amazing time due to spectacular beauty of south east Asia and would love to return, but I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really glad to hear you had an amazing time overall, made great friendships and experienced so many incredible places across South East Asia 🌏 It’s fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed Cambodia and Vietnam, and we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to Alan and Sophan. It’s amazing to hear how much care and passion Sophan showed, particularly when helping you after you were unwell and we will be sure to pass on your kind words. We also really appreciate your honest feedback regarding communication, itinerary clarity and the pace of certain parts of the trip. We understand how important clear day to day information and local recommendations are to the overall experience, and we’re sorry this did not always meet expectations. Thank you again for sharing your experience and feedback with us. Best wishes,

Our CEO was amazing, she was very kind, helpful, and funny! The group I was with was all lovely and it was a great fast paced tour the only negative was the camels we rode were pegged, if i had known this prior I would never have booked it as an optional activity! I hope one day they have a warning underneath the optional activity that states they use pegged camels for the rides.

Hi Lauren, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really glad to hear you had such a great experience overall and that your CEO and group made the trip so enjoyable. We will be sure to pass on your kind words about your guide. We’re very sorry to hear your concerns around the camel riding activity. We completely understand how important this is and appreciate you raising it. We follow and regularly review the health and safety of all our trips, including risk assessments for activities, and this has also been escalated to the relevant animal welfare team who are reviewing camel riding experiences more broadly. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Best wishes,

Gap 360 is a well-rounded platform however all the emails are no reply and that is stressful especially when a trip is booked right before cutoff dates and payment dates. My portal payment due date is different than the threatening cancellation emails I’ve received date. So a last-minute trip with gap 360 is confusing however it may have been different if I booked it further out.

Hi Lauren, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, we really appreciate it. We aim to keep everything as clear and stress free as possible when booking. Our booking terms and conditions follow a standard structure across trips, though some tours do have different payment terms. These are outlined in your booking confirmation email as well as within the booking terms and conditions. Our team is available during office hours via email, live chat and phone, and we also have a 24/7 emergency line for travellers. We don’t use no-reply email addresses for customer communication. We did have an out of office response in place to let customers know that due to a high volume of enquiries, particularly following the situation in the Middle East, response times could be around 24 to 48 hours. This has now been removed from our email communications. Please feel free to get in touch so we can take a closer look and make sure everything is clear and sorted for your adventures. We apologise for any confusion caused and will be sure to pass your feedback on to our teams. Best wishes,

I’d like to express my disappointment with the gap360 tour guide Lee from Cambodia from the 4th-10th of March. Lee as we know is a lovely, charismatic and fun guy. However, as a black woman I felt very uncomfortable with some of his comments during the experience. Twice he expressed how Asian people do not want “dark” skin like me and him. Every time he called me name, he pronounced it wrong, and called me “cash” instead of cassi and called another girl “kassi” who was actually called “Kasey”. I also was made uncomfortable with his comments on the preferred “white” skin that Asian people preferred to be and that he wanted to “exchange” skin with other white people on my tour during the Ankor wat tour. He was also heard saying the N word on the 10th of March. I was informed of this on the 11th on the day of the S-31 prison and killing fields tour and was incredibly upset because I respect him and felt for the history of Cambodian people. Once my friend reported this to me I was extremely upset as I rated Lee as a really lovely tour guide. Despite this, I did notice that he treated me differently than other people on the tour. During the S-21 tour, he stated that Cambodia needed “white” people specifically to benefit their country. This made me very upset as I was empathising with what the Cambodians had been through and was crying during this moment. He stated that “white people” are what is good for Cambodia , which made me feel excluded and isolated and discriminated against, especially during such an emotional moment. I am leaving Cambodia feeling very upset hearing Lee’s views on dark skin and his preference for white people and white skin and western people. I came here to learn the history, not to be discriminated against.

Firstly we would like to say that we are sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share this with us as we understand how difficult this may have been to raise directly. What you have described is deeply upsetting, and we want to be clear that this is not acceptable. It is not reflective of the care, respect and inclusivity we expect from anyone representing Gap 360 and we are taking your feedback extremely seriously. We are investigating this further with the local teams and will ensure all your concerns are reviewed. We will also be in touch with you directly to offer any further support we can. It’s very good everting is already prepared which is perfect and convenient, Sel was a really good team leader and was very helpful. One thing that I would say is that I feel like when we go to the islands, the other one koa rong should be visited instead of the one on the trip as it has whiter sands and seems to be less windy. Apart from that it was an excellent trip.

I need more info on ferry dates or train and bus dates out of the countries because otherwise i can’t get through airport security. I barely made it to Vietnam as the itinerary wasn’t enough to show I was leaving the country. Plus you need to tell people about things like the T-DAC so i can enter Thailand smoothly.

Patrick, our tour guide, was amazing! He was very lovely and answered our queries. I would fully rate Patrick and he is a credit to the company. The tour itself was not great value for money and the accomodation was below average, we didn't have a lot of activities or food included either.

The staff from gap360 have been mostly friendly and helpful. However, I was told that there was availability for a programme, so booked and paid for it, to then be informed that the programme was full. I was then told that the volunteer house was full so have been placed in a different accommodation. I feel that I should have been told this prior to making the booking. Some communication has just been a little blunt and not very clear - considering the programmes aren’t cheap!

Good tour around Sydney but the Oz Jobs program is a scam, they just tell you to download an app to look for jobs. The app had 45 jobs on when I looked and that was all across Australia so not many in each state. Nowhere near the 1500 they advertise! Helpful guys in the office so that was handy but they really shouldn't advertise it as a jobs program, as that was the main thing I wanted but didn't get!

Thank you for leaving a review. We are really surprised to hear this feedback, as per a recent update from our in-country team there are significantly more than this available with lots of jobs in demand. We'd like to understand better what has happened here, whether it is a technical glitch or similar, so please do get in touch with us at hello@gap360.com so we can coordinate with the local team. We are glad the local office was able to help in the meantime.

Absolutely amazing host! Rung was so helpful and friendly with everything we needed. The trip had lots of activities however it felt at times; it was unorganised chaos. The majority of the accommodation was good however there was definitely a few accommodations that were not up to standard, unclean with dirty towels and stains on the beds. Most of the accommodation date booked was far out, so expect to spend a lot on taxis! The itinerary also changed after booking and continued to change throughout the trip. I could have done the trip cheaper and better myself.

Overall I had a great time. Great people, amazing tour guide called Aek! All transport was sorted and accommodation. Accommodation in Krabi (which wasn’t really krabi) Koh Samui, Koh Phangan were very out of the way. Had to always get taxis everywhere and when it was raining meant we couldn’t really do much as nothing was close by. Some parts of included activities had extra costs. For example when staying in the national park we had to pay 400baht to get into the national park which seems stupid because if we didn’t pay that then we wouldn’t get to our accommodation for the night. Also a lot of free time!!! Compared to other companies I have traveled with, there was a lot of free time. If you’re interested in culture, history and temples probably not the tour for you because this one is much more island and beach’s and Morden culture. Still though would recommend doing the trip just need to have those few things in mind.

Hi Katie. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate all your feedback regarding your trip, and for our future travellers from 2024 onwards we are pleased to say we are changing the way national parks are covered in the itinerary, and this will no longer be a local payment. We base our itineraries around customer feedback, and most travellers appreciate the free time to explore on their own, the accommodation locations, etc. We are really glad you still had an amazing time in Thailand with us and that you enjoyed the tour, and we look forward to you travelling with us again in the future 🙂

I found it a little frustrating booking. Gap360 are the booking agent. The tour I booked is managed through another company. I submitted everything to the GAP360 dashboard (name, passport details, insurance details, address, emergency contacts, health information etc), only to have to resubmit it all again to the tour company after two months of originally booking. It's quite antiquated. But I am looking forward to the trip.

Hi there. Thanks for your feedback. Occasionally for some trips our local teams in-country need to reconfirm your details for local arrangements such as transport, accommodation, permits, etc. We appreciate for these few trips you do have to refill some details, and we are looking at ways to really streamline this for the future. We're really glad you're looking forward to your trip, and we hope you have an amazing time with us! 😊

Very easy to book, but would appreciate being told not to book my flights yet before I book the trip as I had no idea before hand and had already booked my flights prior.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We are glad to hear you had an easy booking process! The flight information can be found in your welcome email once you are booked on. It is also stated on the trip pages that international flights are not included, but we understand highlighting not to book flights before your reservation is complete would be important information pre-booking. So we will pass this on to our product & travel advisor teams who will be able to action this further. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we hope you have a great trip!

Fab first solo adventure but I wouldn’t do it through Gap360 again! Just got back from the 25 day Thai adventure tour, a really wonderful trip with so many amazing memories. Our tour guide Mickey made everything 10x better, super helpful & knowledgable of Thailand. There is a huge amount packed in and you are moved on from each place quite quickly. This works for a whistle stop tour of Thailand but I’d definitely want to go back to spend far more time in each place. The tours are more catered towards late teens to early 20s - if you’re not someone who wants to be out drinking & up until the early hours every night then it is a struggle. Gap360 boast that one of the trip highlights is the “ethical” elephant sanctuary you get taken to, however I was greatly disappointed when we arrived to see elephants chained under a shelter with chains on their legs & very little give. After discussing this with our tour guide, two representatives from Gap360 came to speak with me and basically told me that as long as tourists keep paying the money to see elephants that this treatment of them will continue. In my opinion a tour company like Gap360 should be at the forefront of ensuring the exploitation of these animals is stopped. But sadly that’s business. I believe they need to be more open with their customers about what they will be seeing, especially paying so much. Thailand is such a haven for travellers you could 1000% do it by yourself for 1/4 of the cost.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you overall had a great time in Thailand and would like to return to explore the country again in the future. We will pass on your comments to our product team. The elephant sanctuary visited is ethical and is fully vetted by our local team and we will try to find out why this misunderstanding has occurred with the people you spoke to.

Amazing tour guides for Thailand. They were the highlight of the trip. Especially Man and Can. Extremely helpful and lovely people, couldn’t speak highly enough of them. Elephant sanctuary was really good too. Keep on using them! Was a massive imbalance between boys and girls which made it quite hard (as a boy).

Thanks for your feedback. We are happy to hear our team was helpful with your travel plans and can only apologize for the availability issues for your preferred date. Trips are selling out really fast and occasionally we cannot squeeze people in on really busy dates. I had an amazing time on the Bali intro tour, however in reality that was nothing to do with Gap 360 as the tour was organised and run but Intro Travel who were great and I highly recommend. In terms of Gap 360, they should have been clear that they didn't provide the tour themselves as that was very confusing suddenly received an email from Intro a few weeks before my departure. Their flight booking system also isn't worth using as I might as well have done it myself considering I still had to check over and amend incorrect information. Note: if you have dietary requirements Gap 360 won't book them for you nor will they tell you that you have to do it yourself, I ended up with a 13+ hour flight without food because a vegetarian option hadn't been put down on my booking.

Hi, great to hear that you enjoyed your time on the Bali Intro Tour... You are correct we are a travel agent and use several different in-country teams and companies abroad who run the trips we sell, most of them unique to Gap 360. We price match and share all the same information so booking via us you're at no disadvantage, actually you get more with our 24/7 emergency support and UK based financial protection and insurances etc... Sorry to hear about the experience with your airline. We have a preferred company Flights 360 who I assume you are referring to but as they are a totally separate entity for data protection we cannot share information so although you might have advised Gap 360 you are vegetarian unless you told your flight coordinator at the point of booking they would have had no way to have known this. Gap 360 ensures that your dietary requirements are catered for in-country whilst on the trip and we assume in this case they were, just not on the flight that was booked elsewhere. Thanks for travelling with us and we hope you will again...

The trip was incredible, however the travel team did not know the name or location of the accommodation and left us emailing them at the airport for documents for the Thai government which required hotel names. As young travellers the constant lack of knowledge regarding our trip was worrying. The fact that Gap360 advertise other companies trips may explain the lack of understanding regarding obvious and necessary information.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are really pleased to hear your trip was incredible! Regarding your other pieces of feedback, it is stated in your welcome email that it is the traveller's responsibility to check government requirements prior to departure. We offer the in-country local team's number, so you are able to find out any information whilst you are away or at the airport, including your hotel details, however, this information would have also been found in your online account. As a responsible travel company, it is our priority on all of our tours to ensure our traveller's safety. We believe this information is easy to find in your emails and online account, however, we shall pass on your feedback to our product and operation teams, to review where we display our key trip information, and to ensure that it's easily accessible for all our future travellers. Thank you again for your feedback.

I have a great trip, doing the Garden Route and Addo. The trip was well organised and accommodation was clean. However, I was disappointed to arrive in South Africa and find brochures advertising the trip for £170 less than I paid (with the only difference being 2 nights accommodation at £13 per night). Furthermore I was also disappointed to arrive at the bungy jump (Advertised at R950 on gap 360 info) and find it was R1400! Such a shame, as although the trip was great, I will no longer be using Gap360 to book anything!
