Peter from customer service was so rude and unhelpful. They are so hungery for people's money that once booked they will never refund any or even some of the money back if you would want to cancel or ammend the booking.

We recently booked a four night stay in a caravan. We payed extra to book a larger, and more spacious caravan. We didn't get the accommodation we had payed for. The caravan was filthy dirty and not as described. Customer service complaints department, were appalling to deal with and very rude. We left early from our holiday, simply disgusting conditions. Hoseasons haven't even had the decency to reply to our written complaint. AVOID!! Not interested once they have had your money. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Just to add to the long list of complaints, booked boat holiday for this time next year two months ago, due to illness cant make it so thought id cancel, i paid £50 deposit which i read that it would cost to cancel the £50 plus addition ( no cost there though ) Eventually get through on line chat ( no one to one ) said it would cost another £ 100 for I suppose admin , seams a lot, said ok to find out they took another £147 instead of the £100, then had to go through all that to get them to admit wrong amount and yet to receive the refund , such a shame it cost so much for a little admin

hi can you please explain to me why you are refusing to allow me to change my air bnb booking to literally any weekend next year? I have just had spinal surgery and cannot attend (my booking is 2 months away so plenty of warning) refusing to respond to messages there!

Shockingly bad experience, in my opinion. Thankfully managed to record conversations of untruths from telesales team. Wish I had never booked through this company and instead through direct provider.

The customer service is appalling! I had an issue contacting the boat yard and called Hoseasons several times, put on hold for at least 30 mins each time. Eventually I spoke to a very rude young man who told me to email “ customer care” What a joke. 3 emails later snd still no reply! I will never use Hoseasons again and will be sure to tell all my friends about how unhelpful you are.

I am horrified to hear that a friend's daughter and son in law have been refused a refund for a holiday they booked to give their young daughters a holiday to remember. Her daughter knew she had cancer when she booked but not the sort of treatment she would have to receive. Because she now needs radiotherapy on the dates she booked they are unable to go and Hoseasons are refusing to give them a refund. I can't believe a company like Hoseasons would have so little empathy to a beautiful young family who are already going through so much sorrow and pain. As a friend of the family I find this totally abhorrent and hope you can reconsider your decision Regards Margaret McCaffery

Poor booking experience . Told holiday site had closed down. Then holiday site told me it was a rid lie- Hoseasons had double booked. Paid extra to get different dates. Then told final balance transaction hadn’t gone through (bank said it has).. gave even more money again as demanded but holiday dates moved AGAIN:( cocky persons on phone. Very unhappy. Unable to leave customer service rating. It doesn’t work online.

They advertised up to 10% discount for Blue light card. I tried to book 3 different accommodation and only 1% discount was applied. I rang and was told its up to and NOT 10%. It was suggested that I could get more discount if I book the more expensive accommodations. If I could afford the more why would I be booking the basic. Its hard enough for families at the moment without these companies playing pranks. My grand discount worked out to £5.00.

It is a shame there has to be a star given here. After booking with Hoseasons for numerous years I am really disappointed to have to write this review. We booked a stay through Hoseasons for a resort in Bournemouth. We arrived not to be able to get into the property - we were told a member of staff from the restaurant would let us in as we were arriving late, impossible as there wasn't a restaurant! The property was dirty and all items of cutlery, cups/plates etc had to be washed before we could use them, not great when arriving late after a long journey. The caravan park was next to an Arctic Lorry Park which operated 24/7, flashing lights, horns the works and our very short 4 day stay was horrendous, it was impossible to sleep. We spent a lot of money as over a bank holiday which was a real shame. Whilst Hoseasons are very prompt at taking your money for bookings and you can speak to numerous people when booking - don't expect a great service with their complaints system. Numerous calls are rarely answered you can wait up to an hour, call backs never happen, emails are responded to with automated responses and you feel you are constantly battling. Speaking to a manager is never possible and if you dispute any after weeks of battling "goodwill gesture" that you feel is not acceptable, your case has already been closed down. Really disappointing after years of being a great customer.

Called hoseason up today to get my haven holiday reference from them so I can book activities. The woman on the phone said they don’t do that even though a few days ago the man on the phone said they do and have requested it and I will get a reply within a day. So I just called up to see if it had come through. She said they be not do that you have to call Haven, but haven said I had to call you because they don’t recognise hoseason booking reference on their system so hoseseason has to request the haven reference from them and pass it on to me. After a few minutes of being reluctant to do anything she said ok I’ll sort it out for you bye! I said you didn’t even ask for my booking reference how do you know why I am? She said ok then what’s your name? Is she kidding me? Staff have inconsistent knowledge

We stayed on The Marinella Boat House in Wroxham Norfolk. It is in great need of updating. The windows need cleaning inside and out, we found discarded toiletry tops beside the bed, so obviously not hoovered. Cobwebs on the decking as was the year before. Wood rotten on side of boathouse. False positive reviews on Hoseasons website. The place is filthy! You have to vacate the place by 9am on your last day! Check in is at 4pm! So you lose 2 days effectively of your holiday. Fishing is atrocious because of the weeds,as they were the year before. Pigeon excrement all over the decking where you supposedly can sit and relax. Wont be back.

Had a 4 night stay at Riverside Leisure Park 26th-29th June 2023. Booking in time was 4pm but was told the cleaners were running late, finally got key 45 minutes later. The Caravan was quite difficult to find as no number displayed in window as told there would be, cleaners had parked their buggy in our parking space so had to go find them to move it. Caravan was clean although the drainer and rubbing bin were grubby, in the bedroom the duvet was bigger than the duvet cover which left it lumpy and uncomfortable. The off site Bar and Grill, managed by Scott and his team was the only thing good about it, Scott made us feel very welcome as did his staff. No entertainment for adults but a little show for the kids. The food was ok but some of the items on the menu were poor value for money, drink selection was good.

Booked a lodge advertised by Hoeseasons as having "one double and one twin bedroom" to find on arrival that it had 2 double bedrooms. No alternative accommodation or solution offered by Hoeseasons other than a refund in "up to 10 days", absolutely no customer care or assistance offered after their incorrect description of the lodge. Contacted Hoeseasons to point out their error, their reply was, basically, they are not interested and they still (nearly a 3 weeks later) are incorrectly describing the lodge. Clearly they are quite happy with their inaccuracy.

I have provided extensive reports to the Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA), the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) and Nation Unite, alleging Hoseasons are guilty of price gouging for bookings made in late 2021, for domestic cottage holidays due during 2022. In my case, it was an 94.5% price increase over bookings I made in 2019 (pre Covid) for holidays in 2020. These holidays had to be cancelled of course and Hoseasons credit vouchers were issued. To be clear, prices for 2020 increased by 94.5% (£99 per night to £192 per night) for 2022, for the same venue, same cottage, same booking term and for the same time of the year. Hoseasons have agreed that the increase of 94.5% from 2020 to 2022, was justified and due to high domestic demand for vacations in the UK following the tough lockdowns during Covid-19 and the availability of very limited overseas travel. They believe it was a question of supply and demand and as their pricing is dynamic and responds to different business pressures and competition, a price rise of 94.5% was reasonable. In my opinion, I see it as an opportunity to take unfair advantage of people who had been stuck at home for so long and prepared to pay anything to get away for a break. I contend that such a rise of 94.5% was way over the top and ethically contestable under the broad headings of price gouging and profiteering. My contention is that I was grossly overcharged.to the tune of £2400. No doubt many other people dealing with Hoseasons could have suffered financially in similar circumstances. Don’t be afraid to take the matter up with them or with the monitoring authorities!
