“I don’t write reviews as a rule. However, I am writing a review for 4x4 Engine Rebuilds because the service was so good. My Discovery 3 broke a cam belt at speed on the motorway. I had two choices, sell it for scrap or have an engine rebuild. I emailed out for quotes but what came back were always estimates, hedged around with potential surcharges. Ali emailed really quickly with a detailed quote at a truly excellent price but I ignored it as I had decided to scrap the car. Ali phoned me in the evening to check I had the quote and pointed out that by scrapping I was losing thousands of pounds in value. He undertook to do the work for a fixed price and to do it in 10-14 days with photos of its progression. I realised that with his quote he was quite right, I would do far better money-wise to have the rebuild. I checked out his reviews and they were all like this one, very complimentary. I asked Ali if I could drive over and see his operation in Barking to reassure myself and he immediately agreed. He met me there and showed me round a very big and very busy workshop which clearly specialises in Land Rover. Great set up and great guys. Mechanics everywhere, very busy and very, very efficient. I agreed on the repair and the car was collected off my drive within 3 hours. A real pleasure of a firm to work with. Nothing was too much trouble. Instant responses to every query. Highly recommended.”

“I would like to send a massive thank you to Ali and his team. My Land Rover engine failed back in November and I got absolutely no where with Land Rover. I found Ali based on the internet reviews and they are all absolutely spot on. Ali completely replaced my engine after it wasn’t able to be reconditioned and did it at an amazingly reasonable price! “These guys are amazing, from my first contact with them to collection today, I have had nothing but praise for the service I have received. My Discovery went in to Ali & his team as a filthy dirty example with a very sick sounding engine, a few weeks later it has come out better than it has ever been and ran back to Devon like a dream. I am going to make the 500 mile round trip to get the car serviced by 4x4 engine rebuilds as they seem to know exactly what to do with these Land Rover cars and at half the price of the so called specialists here in Devon. “I am a Land Rover specialist dealer - this company has done two Land Rover Discovery 4's for us now. This is the best engine builder for Land Rover by far. Professional all the way - excellent communications and updates and pictures throughout the removal, strip down and rebuild and refit - quality workmanship to main dealer standards. The timeline they give is adhered to, there is no messing around. Very competitive on price. Both Ali and Faisal are professionals in this game, their knowledge of Land Rover engines is second to none. I will not only use as first choice, and have no issue in recommending this company and its workmanship. “Had serious engine failure with our Discovery 4 and couple of companies were quoting in excess of 3K just to get the engine out and diagnose the fault, if the engine needed rebuilding or a recon unit fitted it would be an additional of 5K minimum. Crazy money. Heard about 4X4 Engine Rebuilds in Barking and after making enquiries I was amazed at the service they offered at at such excellent prices. Ali seems to be the main man at this company and I can understand why, it’s always a difficult time when your pride and joy breaks down but Ali explains things, calms you down and let’s you know exactly how his company can help you. With full confidence we had our car recovered to Barking, and in fact I went to see Ali the next day and while I was there Ali explained that from the in car tests carried out relating to compression, noise and vibration, it was confirmed that a full engine strip down would be required. I waited around and was able to watch as the engineers removed the engine from the car and quickly started to give me an idea, from a quick inspection, what had failed, and told me he would get the engine stripped down and send me photos of this and details of exactly what had gone wrong. Later that day Ali advised that a piston, cylinder head, crank, valves and other parts were damaged and a total rebuild was required. There had been a lot of filings from the damaged engine circulating around in the oil so suggested the oil cooler was replaced at the same time. I returned to See Ali and check progress as the engine was rebuilt and it was reassuring to see a delivery of genuine Land Rover spares arrive for our car. I was able to view our car and engine being worked on as well as other clients vehicles being fixed at the same time. Spare engines and other parts are held in stock and nothing is hidden from your view, this is a company that I trust. The working bays are full and busy with friendly technicians who will talk to you as they assemble and work on engines, other clients cars are outside waiting for work to be carried out. This is a busy company because they care about customers, offer a fantastic service at a good price. Our car is back on the road and running better than ever, well done, really appreciate this and thanks to Ali and the whole team Arthur Drew”

“Had mega problems with my Discovery 4 and needed the engine rebuilt. Heard about this fantastic company in Barking who specialise in rebuilding and replacing engines. From the initial contact right through to completion I had absolute First class service from a superb company with Extra helpful and friendly staff.. Nothing was too much trouble, nothing was hidden from view, I was able to watch my engine being removed, stripped down, Re-built, Re-fitted and tested etc. When I couldn’t get there Ali kept me fully updated and forwarded plenty of photos of the work in progress. It was so refreshing to deal with such a professional company, their high standards are confirmed by the amount of vehicles they are repairing all the time and the other vehicles lined up around the company waiting to be fixed, don’t be put off by this as Ali and his team will always help you out. “I am Mike from London. I recommend this company highly. The professionalism, quality qualified engineers and assistant is so good. I was travelling in my Range Rover Sport tdv6 2010 when the engine broke down on the motorway. I made a few checks and this company was recommended. I had the vehicle recovered to them and they assured me all replacement engines are all standard so my vehicle should be ready in 10 days. Exactly 10 days, the car was ready to go. I was advised to come back for first service after 1500 miles. The company kept me informed with pictures and videos throughout the stages of the engine replacement. Their engines are main dealerships engines which gives you peace of mine. I highly recommend this company for value of money, peace of mind and professionalism with great engineers. Mr Ali who is the head of the engineers is very experienced with lots of advice and help with your vehicle.”

“Well, where do I start.. I live in the North west and I own a 2012 3.0L TD Range Rover Sport . After receiving the bad news that my car needed a new Engine from my local Specialist I had decided that I was going to sell for spares and lose most of my money invested. Quoted from £ 9k to £ 10.5 k for a replacement Engine fitted I just could not afford that cost . just over 2 weeks ago I did a Google search and 4x4 Engine Rebuilds popped up so I decided to send an E Mail as a last hope really. Contacting them at 8pm on a Friday night I expected nothing till Monday at the earliest . Within 10 minutes a really helpfull guy called Ali had replied through Whatsapp and answered quite a few of my questions . I agreed with the price ( excellent and within my budget ) and the Recovery was booked for the following day Saturday 6pm. Driver turned up on time and away it went . Later that night I received Pics from Ali of the Range Rover arriving back at Barking all safe and secure in their lock up. During the process of Engine removal I had pics and Videos of the Removal and refitting of a new Unit . My wheels also had seen better days so Ali arranged to get them redone in a Diamond Cut finish . The cost again was a real bargain compared to Wheel Specialists here in the North West . I was told all would be finished within the allocated 2 week turn around . I arrived Saturday 31st , 2 weeks after Recovery to collect the Range Rover. What a superb job . I cannot thank Ali and the team for the work they have done. I was looking at losses of well over £ 20k without their skill and dedication to their trade . Ali was a pleasure to deal with and such a nice guy to meet in person. I had a quick look around the workshop before heading back up to St Helens with my reborn RR. I have aftercare for the Engine that tells you exactly how to drive it and about the Oil Change you need to do after so many miles. I would recommend 4X4 Engine Rebuilds to anybody anywhere in the UK . The prices are amazing and Customer Care and Service are second to none. Travelling I decided to use the train to collect the Range Rover . Virgin train down to London Euston. 10 minute tube to Moregate ( not Fenchurch Street as the ticket will say ) 25 minute Tube to Barking from Moregate. The Workshop is less than 2 miles from Barking Station. I decided to walk 30 mins or you can get a Taxi. Total Train cost was £ 65 first class”

Im from Birmingham, got a range rover sport autobiography 2010,i took it to every where in Birmingham but no help at all, i had enough at this stage so came online and this business and reviews stood at to me, spoke ali and he reassured me that he will sort it for me and what a price compared to what i heard other companies, he recovered the car the very next day and within 2 weeks sorted it. “Range Rover Sport, 3 Litre Diesel, 2015 Model - Auto-biography - 28,000 Miles Engine failed without warning doing 50mph through the road works of the M27 justy before christmas. No lights came up on the dash, everything immediately locked up, wheels wouldn’t turn, and engine wouldn’t re start. Oil everywhere on the road & in the engine compartment. Apparently the oil pump failed, this is well documented on the web but Range Rover wouldn’t accept any liability as the warranty had run out. They quoted me £8K + VAT for a new engine & £10K + VAT to fit it. Also, any other ancillary equipment if required would be at an extra cost. I contacted Ali from 4x4 Engine Rebuilds. He wasn’t the cheapest but he seemed the most genuine on the phone and really his reviews helped me choose his services. I am so glad I did. He took the engine out, stripped it down & rebuilt it with new internal parts. He also had to replace all the fuel injectors, the oil cooler & both primary & secondary turbos. Ali kept me informed with photos & progress reports throughout the entire process. It’s been 7 months now and have had no problems whatsoever. Running better than it ever has. His final price turned out to be about a third of the price quoted from the dealership & that’s with the extra parts included. I would highly recommend these guys. They are very knowledgeable and leading experts in their field. Just brilliant.”
