Had serious engine failure with our Discovery 4 and couple of companies were quoting in excess of 3K just to get the engine out and diagnose the fault, if the engine needed rebuilding or a recon unit fitted it would be an additional of 5K minimum. Crazy money. Heard about 4X4 Engine Rebuilds in Barking and after making enquiries I was amazed at the service they offered at at such excellent prices. Ali seems to be the main man at this company and I can understand why, it’s always a difficult time when your pride and joy breaks down but Ali explains things, calms you down and let’s you know exactly how his company can help you. With full confidence we had our car recovered to Barking, and in fact I went to see Ali the next day and while I was there Ali explained that from the in car tests carried out relating to compression, noise and vibration, it was confirmed that a full engine strip down would be required. I waited around and was able to watch as the engineers removed the engine from the car and quickly started to give me an idea, from a quick inspection, what had failed, and told me he would get the engine stripped down and send me photos of this and details of exactly what had gone wrong. Later that day Ali advised that a piston, cylinder head, crank, valves and other parts were damaged and a total rebuild was required. There had been a lot of filings from the damaged engine circulating around in the oil so suggested the oil cooler was replaced at the same time. I returned to See Ali and check progress as the engine was rebuilt and it was reassuring to see a delivery of genuine Land Rover spares arrive for our car. I was able to view our car and engine being worked on as well as other clients vehicles being fixed at the same time. Spare engines and other parts are held in stock and nothing is hidden from your view, this is a company that I trust. The working bays are full and busy with friendly technicians who will talk to you as they assemble and work on engines, other clients cars are outside waiting for work to be carried out. This is a busy company because they care about customers, offer a fantastic service at a good price. Our car is back on the road and running better than ever, well done, really appreciate this and thanks to Ali and the whole team Arthur Drew
